What version are you installing? I've had no issues in Vista x64 in the last few months I've ran Vista and used Realtemp in all it's beta versions and official released.
What's that finalizing installation at the bottom? EDIT: Must be CoD4 patching...
Have you re-installed Realtemp? If not you will need to...maybe run the install file as admin, run realtemp as admin?...haven't had the issue so I'm going through a few basic things to try...hopefully we'll getcha sorted!

While updating your system you might as well try the latest beta version of RealTemp:

RealTemp needs Administrator privileges to read the temperature sensors in an Intel CPU in an OS friendly way. The Run as Administrator suggestion should do it.
