Thanks. I used to wear something similar but actually, moving my mouse to the left and using the curved keyboard with a wrist rest keeps it in check. And I use a Belkin mouse wrist pillow too.

Ahh are they not gel based ?, i tried that sort long time ago and like the beads much much more as they mold to the shape much better. Were gel has to have force continuously beads don't.

I may have found a suitable option. The Tt eSports Talon Blu by Thermaltake is $20, wired, optical, fits med to large hands, and on both Newegg and Amazon has received a solid 5 star/egg rating over 10-11 customers on each site.

The kicker is it's the only mouse under $30 I've seen with a 2 yr warranty. That said, Thermaltake requires the customer to pay to ship the defective item to them (though they pay return shipping). UPS ground from MD to Thermaltake would be roughly $15.

Another alternative is getting the Logitech G402, which can be had from an Amazon sub vendor for $39 with free shipping (from Indiana, which is close to you). The G402 also has a 2 yr warranty and Logitech will send you a replacement without having to ship your mouse back.

My 3 yr warranted G400 just started having cursor/mouse look freeze problems after 2 yrs 9 mo of use, and they're sending me a G402. I can still use the G400 on the generic driver fine, it only acts up on the Logi driver. Some have said this can happen when the sensor starts to go, and it might be because my DPI profile though defaulting to the generic speed (800 DPI), also has other higher DPI settings in it.

The G402 costs $19 more, but you don't have to pay $15 shipping to send it all the way to California, and you just might be able to use the Logi on the generic driver even if it does fail within 2 yrs. Note that the Logi MX500 I had prior to my G400 lasted over 5 yrs.

The Sharkoon Fireglider is what I'm using ATM. Bought it on massdrop for $19 + Shipping (unfortunately not available there anymore) after my $140 (when they first came out) Razer Mamba fell apart like the cheap piece of junk it is - plastic button extrusions slipping off to the sides of the microswitches inside, themb-pad falling off, plastic cracking under use... also the only mouse that wouldn't track on the Razer Exactmat was the only Razer mouse I owned

I've been using the sharkoon full-time on my gaming PC for about a year now, maybe a year and a half; no signs of starting to wear out - even the mouse feet are holding up fairly well.

There's both an Optical and a Laser version, though you might have a hard time finding the Optical version. Probably about "average" size; If I palm-grip mine, my fingertips stick over the end of the mouse about a cm or so but it's still useable. I tend to slide my hand back on the mouse so my wrist rests on the desk and claw grip the thing but depending on your hand size, palm grip may work for you. Adjustable weight (though even maxed out it's not really heavy; I'd probably put a bit more weight in if it let me; that said it works quite well with what it has). I didn't think I'd like the grippy thing on left side, but after using it I actually do.

There's your standard 3+2 arrangements of buttons, with the left/right, clickable scrollwheel and two left side buttons. There's also the DPI button below the wheel (I use mine maxed out all the time - 5870 pixels with a flick of the wrist FTW) and a gimmicky 3-shot burst button beside the wheel that fires off the left click three times in quick succession which - well I suppose if that's your sort of thing... I use it to get into vehicles at the start of the round on BF4 and that's it. Not sure if it's reassignable with the software as I don't use it (the software or the button for the most part).

All-in-all I'm quite happy with it. Certainly happier than I was with the Mamba or even the Logitech G700

Its such a good mouse Newegg upped the price to $60 It was $29 one month ago

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826794010

Shop around I paid $25

And its big. Fits your whole palm

The mouse pillow is gel based. The keyboard rest is part of the keyboard as seen here and is hard. Since I try to be technically correct when typing, that is, I try to remember to hold my hands up and not actually rest them on the rest, the keyboard being hard is not a bother. I am glad, however the mouse pad is gel.

Walmart has it listed for $24.04, but is out of stock too. :( Amazon is out too so obviously the factory is way behind demand.

There was an artical in Maximum PC a couple of months ago. They really liked the Sharkoon Fireglider. Its has a braided cord, its big, 3000 DPI, and its Optical.

As suggested a couple days ago. Glad to see it reiterated because the best mouse for you really does depend on how it feels in your hand, not anyone else's.

Speaking of that, anyone played with a vertical mouse? Comes in left, right and small (right only) models.

No, not for $90, dam that would stop my wife using my pc with her being right handed and all lol. I just ordered the G700s dunno how thats going to go down with being left handed how ever i used to use the 518 with no issue at all as i use the claw grip a lot.

Would of picked up the new 303 but the warranty is shorter.

No, not for $90
I thought it expensive too - especially since it is not marketed for gaming. But I a couple people (both in their 60s) who love them.

Well i would love to try one but.

The func ms-3 is a pretty awesome mouse. Used one for a while (before I defaulted back to the Logitech G502). Great for larger right hands, and the laser is very nice as well, get's a nice DPI.

http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00J06F6E0/?tag=tec06d-20

And for $4 more you can get the G700s with a 3 year warranty and not 2 years.

Tru. I'm have SteelSeries Sensei atm. It's quite old now.. And looking into Func MS-3, since it's looks like very interesting and probably, gonna be very comfortable mouse for my big hand.

Logitech G400 or G502 - contrary to popular belief, the G502 actually sports an optical sensor rather than a laser

I would not recommend the G400. Many have had the cord connection fail well within the warranty period. It's what I recently found to be failing on mine after many I chatted with were sure it was the sensor. It has a very thin cord. I was using a cord keeper too, it wasn't getting tugged on.

You sound like someone who would really enjoy the Zowie FK1

It's ambidextrous, claw gripper, perfect sensor, solid as a rock, selectable DPI and plug and play - no installation required.
Sure you'll pay a little bit more, but definitely worth it. My fav mouse of all time really.

Not from the reviews i have read and it only has a 1 year warranty, trust me it will fail with in 15 months.

I had a closer look at whats failing on the Sensei mouse i have which was a replacement of a ZAI which still failed within a year. Although Razor have been much worse.

Had another look at my Sensei and it's not the actually switch that's failing and is the actual plastic that pushes against the switch as you can see a little groove in the plastic which i guess could of messed the switch up too but don' know about that.

I may get around to it and see if they would supply a top part of it.
