Remnant II Benchmark Test & Performance Analysis

A small AA studio was able to include all three upscaling technologies, and frame generation? Where did they find the resources to do that? It must have taken so much time and effort, they probably had to starve themselves. Thank heavens big AAA studios are not going for such sacrifices.
Yea it's not like Nvidia has to do the DLSS training and not the game devs, oh wait they do

Ppl are being pretty hard on the graphics, I've played this game for a few hours now with a 4090, it runs much much better with DLSS. On quality with 3440x1440p I'm quite sure it boosted my FPS by over 60%.

As for the look of the graphics themselves, this is one of the best HDR implementations I have seen in a game and while some textures need work, some are on a level of detail I have never seen before.

A specific example would be the rust on old vehicles, cracks in the pavement up close, the granularity of stone, or the fibers on clothing down the way it shifts/flows while moving. These look downright real sometimes, and never get the pixelation you can commonly see displayed from using DLSS and walking too close to something a la modern warfare 2.

which stutter? shader compile? mentioned in the conclusion
I am guilty of not reading the analysis yet, hence the question, sorry will take a read.

You are talking about DLSS 1, which has been obsolete for years. There is no per-game training.

Integrating DLSS is VERY easy, especially if you use one of the major engines, takes less than a day. If you have your own in-house engine, NVIDIA will do a lot of handholding for you to help you get it integrated, they literally have thousands of developers ready to help game studios.

Just FYI the Tekken 8 beta that's currently taking place on PC this weekend has no option for running in native resolution. It supports literally half a dozen different upscaling technologies, but you have to choose one. It might very well be an UE5 thing that is here to stay...

This performance to this visual quality is terrible. At least with the RTX 2060, 1080p High detail 60 fps should work. Even the RTX 3080 and 3070 is slow at 1080p.

Why do they look so different?
I attach only a few samples but it's obvious in the whole length of the video.

Having a blast playing this game at 1440p on my 3060 12gb. Have it set to medium with DLSS on. Get around 75-95 fps usually. Still looks really good on medium imo.

Will you visit Remnant II again?
After the updates and the DLC, I think the performance has increased quite a bit.

I have the game now and doing 80-100fps at 1440UW on ultra with upscaling off.

Love this game, I'm like 60 hours in and have seen maybe half of the random events possible. A little burned out at this point, but I'll probably play occasionally and pick it back up big time when they release the next DLC. If you enjoyed the first game, it's more the same; if you didn't, there are enough quality of life improvements that it's probably worth giving it another chance. They added it to GamePass a couple of weeks ago, so if you were hesitant to spend on it that's definitely the way to check it out.
