Ok, so I got remote desktop working, the only problem is, when I log off of the remote computer, the host does not log it self back in.

Ive even tried disabling my the password on the account to login and hope when I logged off that it would just resume on the host, but no such luck.

Basically what I want to be able to do is connect to my house computer at work, and be able to use the computer like I would with remote desktop, however, when I log off, I want the host to resume as the same user still.

Any way to get to that solution is great, willing to try anything! Please help!!

when i logged on, it worked fine, it changed to the screen res of the remote computer, everything works perfect, but when logging out it just gives way and stays logged out. Is there any way to turn logging back in right away on? and have it remember the password?

It won't log in right away, you'd have to use 3rd party software for that. ie VNC or something.

However, the session on the host is still running, so why exactly does it matter?

So the original user session is still running? Its not just sitting there waiting for login?

I just want to make sure my single user BOINC app continues to run.....

Im actually using a third party remote software right now called logmein, and its working really nicely, Im just diaspointed that Im gonna have to pay for it at one point
