It fixed! Thanks
I've uninstalled MSI CENTER and installed MSI Dragon Center, scan in advanced mode and update. And now It is enabled:

For BAR to be enabled, you must have it set to enabled in the motherboard bios, if the option is not there, a mobo bios maybe needed, if the option is still not there, the mobo doesnt support it.

Then comes the gpu, you must have a 4GB+GPU for it to work and possibly a bios update for the gpu. Sometimes fresh mobo and gpu drivers are needed.

For anyone who finds this thread in the future because the Asus vbios utility throws errors, what finally worked for me was the following:
1. Download Asus vbios utility
2. Unpack the EXE using WinZip to a folder
3. Open command prompt
4. Change the directory to the unpacked folder (use "cd " followed by the folder path)
5. Type nvflash --protectoff
6. Run the Asus vbios update utility from the unpacked exe folder

I tried this but still got the same message that bios update is not needed. Tried also all settings in bios etc. but still cant get rebar working.

I have Asus GeForce RTX 3070 DUAL - OC Edition (LHR) and I believe it came from prebuilt pc. Any help would be appreciated!

Yeah you need to enable rebar in you mobo's UEFI if you tell what mobo you have ( the best thing to do is fill in your system specs in your profile so we don't have to keep asking these questions about what hardware you are using) we should be able to tell you where to go and what to on

It should be enabled and have tried it multiple times to On/Off and then also manually putting correct values put still no luck :( Also using latest bios for mb.

Thanks for the tip on system specs now those are filled!

Looking at the info you have provided the problem is definitely your VBios, you screenshots from GPU-Z at Post #60 shows your bios date as 2020 (unless my ageing eyes are failing me), re-sizeable bar was not introduced until Feb 2021 therefore for you need a VBios dated after 25th Feb 2021, if the build date is not actually the Bios build date can you confirm the date of your Bios.

Your eyes are not failing yet so build date is 2020-11-03

So there is your problem then, you need to update your Vbios some way with a Bios from March 2021 or later, thing is I cannot find a device ID match for your card in our Bios section at all even though there are loads for the Dual OC, you may have to contact Asus support directly and quote your model and device ID's to see if they can provide you with a copy.

Finally managed to update my VBIOS so now i have BAR enabled..

Got the same problem, I want Resizable bar, i enable it in the BIOS yet it still won't work..... I've tried all of the above = no change.
Finally solved it Post #67

I guess resizable bar ain't working on 1080ti btw.

Not supported on 10 and 20 series. They are too old.

Early make RTX 30 series GPUs manufactured in 2020 and early 2021 require a VBIOS update, newer units and all refreshed 30 series (eg. 3070, 3080 and 3090 in their Ti versions) already have a ReBAR VBIOS from the factory. All 40 series and newer also obviously support the feature from the factory.

I have the same issue.

Cant believe it, 3 years later... I have the same exact problem as mentioned above.
I've followed the rabbit hole, and I also got to the same conclusion, that I need a newer VBIOS for my card.
I looked up all the details on my card, and I'm fairly certain I have the exact same card as OP here.
The issue is that my build date for the NVIDIA BIOS is 2020-11-26, so it's too old. But the nvflash wont update to newer versions it seems, and if I try to use the regular installer I will get the same message that I dont need to update it... But yet I do! And yes, double and tripple checked that I have enabled ReBAR in BIOS top right corner as well. 110% sure I have the same issue.

Any help would be appreciated at this point, as I am going nuts here... So annoying.

Is this a TUF 3080? If so, you can use nvflash directly. Just make sure it's a bios for the original, Non-LHR 3080

I remember a lot of cards where the vendors didn't activate resizeable bar en release a bios update.

A bios update ain't always bad it can bring features, fix security issues and more.

Check with Asus for your card if there is an update or reach out to their support, they can help you as long as it's not the useless Asus Nordic support which doesn't know a lot.

@astals Your VBIOS isn't listed in the Asus update so really the software should say that. Maybe if you contact Asus and ask them why 94.02.42.00.AS30 isn't included they may provide it for you. Don't know why GPU-Z says no BIOS support, maybe because of lacking BAR size rather than BIOS setting? Some ballon explanations might help as was done with the default window.

For resizable BAR support, the following is required:

- Compatible VBIOS
- Motherboard BIOS in pure UEFI mode (CSM DISABLED)
- Above 4G decoding enabled
- Resizable BAR support set to Auto (usually on ASUS MB BIOSes) or enabled
- A fairly up to date version of Windows and of the graphics driver

The correct BIOS for @astals's 3080 is this one if the automatic updater isn't working
