so specs on the left, what would you value the rig at were you to ebay it or craigslist it?

Its hard to say, with the fact that GTX480's are not neccesarily desirable video cards anymore due to the amount of heat they produce and power they use. Especially with new Nvidia graphics cards on the horizon. Motherboard is pretty low end, memory is okay and CPU is decent.

So pros and cons to weigh up hardware wise id value around $800. But what I'm wondering, how does the computer look? is it in good condition? is he case well kept and is the case tidy? Depending on how the overall look of the machine is, will determine how high or low you could go from $800 in my opinion :)

rear fan grill removed, front door is broken and frequently falls off.

No idea what your rig is worth, but go spend $40 on a decent NZXT case and charge $50 more for the entire thing.

You might want to sell your monitor separately, I don't think anybody dishing out money for that kind of horsepower will game on a 20" 768P/900P monitor.

I always get more if I part it out on E bay.

this was more for valuation, I'm not selling it. my case operates perfectly to my needs save for the broken door which I work around. And of course I could get more if I parted it out, Shoot the gpu's alone would net over 500$ on amazon.

for this paticular valuation need I was actually aiming lower so 800$ sounds great to me.

Find the right guy and id say $800 spend a lil for a fancy Fast looking case Someone will buy it

see above, not selling, parting out would net much much more than 800$. this is whole rig valuation only and I have my number.
