ROM not erased. Error 0FL01

Ok so when I went to switch to the OC mode I had a black screen. I looked up the code b2 that my mother board gave me saying "there was an error with initializing the gpu's firmware." I switched back to silent and started just fine. So OC mode isn't excepting the new update?

Did you use both the oc bios and silent bios I suggested?

I installed only the silent in silent mode. I went to switch to oc mode and flash that next when it didn't boot. Should I install the OC bios on the card in silent mode? And then switch my bios and see if it initializes?

I would highly suggest going back to the default 5700 bios in correct positions by using the recovery links before attempting this since 1 bios position is bricked and the other side isnt

You do not want to cause both sides to blank. Also i believe you must put oc bios in before quiet bios when going to 5700xt

OK. How do I use that file? I clicked on it. screen flashed for a milsecond then nothing. Do I need to download this onto a usb flashdrive or?..

This may help a little

Read these 2 links.

I'm back in my 5700 OC side again. So using that bat file process. Already backed up my bios as the article suggested. Trying to use the bat in oc mode but it rejected it yet

No luck. The OC mode just won't take the flash. Keeps giving the 0fl01. I don't understand why I get that even if I unlock the ram it still throws that error code.

I think I'm going to just stick with the standard bios since the Rom doesn't want to overwrite to the XT model. Powercolor just hates me lol.

Youre not the only 1 with trouble, I believe they locked their cards from flashing fully this time around. I would just leave it stock, thats why I had you flash back. If you want to do a bios flash Id grab a sapphire, or asrock challenger card.

This will work 100% . You are probably too lazy to create dos usb drive or you dont know how to do it there is guidance there and itll work.

I got the XT bios upgrade in silent mode. But when switching to the OC mode it refuses no matter what i try minus usb drive. I even made a .bat file and still nothing in the OC mode. Yes I got the XT on the silent mode but that made the OC mode a black screen with b2 on my Mother Board. So do I get the additional performance and lose a side bios on my Powercolor Red Devil or stick with the vanilla bios and take the small percentage loss for having both sides of my bios switch?

Put the stock bios back in and just use Afterburner to oc.

Yeah that's what I did. Using the 5700 bios and OC it with custom fan curve to ensure it kicks on when matters

Apparently Vega powercolor cards had a oc bios that was locked out and the quiet side was only flashable.

Id try the 220W bios on the quiet side and see, up to you, you have the means to return the card back to stock
