RTX 4080 vs 4090 *based on EU pricing

Hi,

i have been reading online about how "bad" pricing is the 4080 and how 4090 is in demand and people are forsaking 4080 because it is such a bad value.

currently, the prices without VAT (Added tax) are for an average 4090 between 1,850€ to 2,000€ there are more expensive options
while the net prices for 4080 are selling on average between 1,300€ to 1,400€ there are more expensive options
so the difference is between 550€ το 600€ which makes a price difference of more than 40% to 42% on average
the 4090 is NOT 40% faster than 4080!
4090 is at max 30% faster than 4080 in 4K! according to techpowerup we are talking about a 25% difference. so either the 4090 should be cheaper or the 4080 more expensive.

i got the 4080 to get a great 4k card(didn't wait for amd wanted to try the rtx at 4k) and i saved 600€ which i spent on the new build with better components.
so why the hate towards 4080? i mean i understand nvidia is scalping us but they have good products and they take advantage of it

* a mistake i did was to buy a heavily discounted rtx 3090 ti at 1,050€ instead of waiting for a better alternative

Where are you finding the 4090s for sub 2k €? Can't find any bellow 2100€.

You guys complained the difference in MSRP was not worth it. Nvidia solved that problem in Europe

4070 for 1000€ -worth it
4060 for 800€ -worth it
4050 for 600 - worth it

Now feed their addiction and next time 5090 will be 3000€ so a 5080 for 2500€ is worth it. This logic is beyond me

in my opinion the pricing on the 4080 is not terrible, the value is kind of trash.
That said, i am still trying to find an FE 4080 in stock somewhere, while the value is kind of trash, the performance to watt is insane.. it would be nice to have a card that uses UNDER 300w in games on average.

My 3080 12Gb strix i have seen hit 400w according to MSI Afterburner.

I use different PCs because i have different offices/workstations/gaming the 3090 ti replaced the 3080 and then the 3080 a 2080 ti and the 2080 ti a 1080

I think the 4090 at $2000 with melting power connector is a steal, absolute bargain. Gonna take out that loan for it. Can't wait.

That was based on US MSRP and performance values. Based on those EUR prices none of them is worth that money, they are equally bad value. Those are crypto/scalping at it's highest prices

Why not wait for AMD for example?

If you want serious advice you've come to the wrong casino. You already have a 3080 and two OLED displays, but you're still seriously contemplating on the value of these cards.
