Thats not to say there aren't any Gen 4 issues still, when LSPM is enabled on certain link modes, some errors are still logged across state transitions, you'll see this more on m.2 ssd's though.

When I tried to run the firmware update (RTX4090_V2.1.exe) both screens instantly went dark, then powered off and never recovered. I had to force a shut down and reboot. What the heck!

That happens with VBIOS updates occasionally, sometimes replugging the HDMI/DP cables is enough.

So this only affects the 4090 not the entire 4000 series? whats unique about that card to trigger this issue.

it was a mainboard issue causing irrecoverable bus errors when certain gen 4 cards were i use.

Radeon was not left unscatched.
