Hey guys, I have a quick ? (hopefully)
Here is what Im using:
evga 780i sli mobo
-1x hd4800 in top pci-e slot for my dual monitors
-1x x300 in bottom pci-e slot for my tv in the other room using s-vid (best option old school projection tv accepts)
-Win 7 ultimate 64bit
Here is my problem:
The computer accepts the 2nd card fine in the bottom slot, but won't post if it's in the middle one, giving me an error something like 'sli not compatible in slot #x'
I had the driver and the CCC installed for the hd4800 and everything worked fine. I installed the 2nd card, then booted and installed the driver for it, and it shows up in device manager, but instantly gives a 'ccc has stopped working' dialogue box and it never will run.
I'm hoping it is just a matter of me installing drivers incorrectly, but I also have a hunch that it has to do with trying to use 2 ati cards on an nvidia based mobo.
If you guys could help me troubleshoot I would be very appreciative. Thanks!
