Hello, i recently bought an used rx 470 for 60€ but later on i discovered it is a mining rx470 though it does have dvi output and i have installed the drivers and played some games, it still has a mining bios and from what i've seen online i can get a performance boost from flashing the normal bios but when i go to the techpowerup bios site and put my card's info 4 bios come out but i've tried all of them on amdvbflashwin and it doesnt work and i get the message "subsystemID mismatch" even though i've checked all of the available ones on techpowerup. Can anyone help me? I'm new to pcs.

Stop what you are doing and follow my instructions.
Open GPU-Z Go Click the Advanced Tab and Click on General and Change to memory timings, get a screenshot from there please.
Being a Sapphire card, please remove your gpu from the case and get a picture of the SKU/PN sticker on the side of the heataink by the pcie blade. Also check the edge of the gpu inside of case for a tiny bios switch, sometimes that switch is located on the pci bracket where the video ports are

You need to change the word General to Memory timings in the Advanced tab please. By the way do you see another white sticker with the Part Number on it?

1206/1750 are the correct Speeds, let me do further checks
@kamolo Open GPU-Z 1 more time please.
Look on the right of the screen and click the Black Arrow next to the White UEFI Checkbox.
Attempt to upload the bios through GPU-Z to the VGA Bios Collection/Database (do not upload it to the thread)
You may receive a prompt stating the bios is already in the Collection/Database with a Link to the File, copy and paste that Link Here.
If you do not receive the above prompt, proceed to upload the file to the VGA Bios Collection/Database- In the details/Description please write that it Might be a Mining bios but add the SKU 11256-28-20G to the description.
Once done finish uploading and copy and paste the link here.
I and possibly @Imperator would like to look at the memory timings to try and get you a comporable bios.

If I were you, I'd try the last bios I provided, otherwise you may need to experiment.
You cannot flash these cards via flash win
You must use Windows Command Prompt.
Follow these directions
Download atiflash/amdvbflash 2.93
Go here https://www.techpowerup.com/download/ati-atiflash/
Then look for Version 4.68, underneath 4.68 you will see a link to show older version, click that and you should see version 2.93
Then
Follow these steps carefully:
1. Open your "C:" drive in Windows, create a new folder, call it atiflash.
2. Extract the contents of atiflash_293.zip to the "C:\atiflash" folder
3. Find the bios file you downloaded and rename the bios file to sn470.rom
4. Move sn470.rom to the "C:\atiflash" folder
5. Open the start menu, type cmd, when cmd.exe appears right click it and hit "Run as administrator"
6. At the command prompt type in cd\ and press enter until only C:\> is on the screen.
7. Type in cd/atiflash and press enter, you should see C:\atiflash>
7a. At C:\atiflash> type in amdvbflash.exe -i to identify what number your card is (0, 1, 2)
8. At the C:\atiflash> prompt type in
amdvbflash.exe -unlockrom 0 (or 1, 2)
(there is a space between the e and -unlockrom and 0)(0 is the number zero)
press enter and you will be prompted that the "ROM Unlocked"

Well the timings are the same (loose compared to the top 1s) but you get a minor boost in clock speed. Sometimes when timings are too tight it causes gaming instability, but trade off is "better mining"
You may have to try a few different ones, that is the issue with mining edition cards...

In the mining area, the users usually copy and then paste the 1500 settings to those above it , like at 1750 and 2000.
In that way the memory would be used more aggressive at a lower frequency.
