RX 480 and Grid Autosport problems

Sorry If this isn't in the right thread so mod's place it where you think it needs to be.

Ok I'm having a problem getting Grid Autosport to work.

Things I've done,
-updated Steam
-updated all games and checked game integrity files.. all passed np.
-deleted game and re-installed
-all games work except grid AS
-changed drivers to a non Relive and the game works..

So it's obvious its driver related, am I missing some software or driver?

I did a clean OS install the other day but didn't try the game with the new card before hand.. the old 290X worked fine.

If I clear the grid game folder and re-start the game all goes smooth until I get deeper into the advanced graphics settings.. Once I select ADVANCED Lighting that's when the driver takes a shit and I just see a black screen. If I ctrl enter I'm able to see the screen, then I see a notice that the driver has failed and is sending the issue and I'll be notified once a fix is out.

Anyways what else can I do?

I have used AMD reporting form and sent it off but does anyone know what else I could do to fix the issue?

Neither of the 2 Relive drivers work..

Only older ones work.. even when I use a working driver and set the visuals for a profile and then go and try the Relive driver it just goes black screen after the intel and other splash screens show.

For the moment your best bet is to roll back to last known working Driver's
Untill AMD Release new Drivers that you can try or some one suggests work around

Well screw it, it isn't worth it for me right now.

its the only game that wont work and besides I love the RELIVE recording feature to much to roll back.

Put a ticket in and go to the AMD forums on this bro, contact the Game Creators too

I wasn't banned from there and I Put in 2 questions pertaining to the same problem I was having. I also put my 2 cents in others topics relating to the same thing. Aka, AMD External Events Utility (file atiesrxx.exe) causing "Please Wait" Slow Boot Issue on Windows 7. They Fixed the issue in the Relives, otherwise I'd be running 16.4.2s.

Just gave it a go and the only way i can put it is the game is being a twat!
I set the res changed a few other setting then went to turn on advanced lighting and game just locked up then closed lol.

Suggest both OP and you make a bug report: because you're using 2 different cards, in 2 different PCs.

Loaded it up a second time and it seems ok now but have not tried a race yet as i cant be arsed to plug my wheel in atm.

Sure does look like it might be a problem with the ReLive driver as 3 of us have the same issue with that one setting and as the op says the game works fine on older drivers.

I finaly picked it up Project Cars as i got a new thrustmaster T150rs wheel and damn that game is so much fun.

That may depend on what the actual problem is: for all you know, the problem that affects this game may also affect other games.

For all you know, the next (yet unreleased) game you're planning to play will suffer from this bug.

So here is what I did.
My doc. My Games. Grid Auto. Delete both Hardware settings and info. Re launch game. Graphics will be reset go back in and change them to your pref. Now everything works as intended except smoke shadows (For me). When enabled the Game crashes.
Alternately go into Hardware settings and modify force dx 10=True. Looks like crap tho. Half of the graphics settings grey out. As for smoke shadowing. Meh.
