As you said, many new updates cause trouble for old video cards like 400 and 500 from AMD.I have a XFX 590 FatBoy and that same issue i downgraded to 21.2.3 that fix the issue. Seem there's an issue with the new update and 500 series, Also lowering the core/memory clock can help artifacts. Hope this helps. I recommend running DDU again in safe mode.
But on the other hand it is normal that the producer will loose focus on older products, instead he focus all the time on newer ones.
It happened to me on many occasions not only for video cards.
