RX 570 Original BIOS Needed

Wow that is quite a list. I tried the first 3 and gotthis error:
Old SSID: 2321
New SSID: 2313
SSID mismatched

Is there something I can do like take pics of the memory that can reduce that 2nd list?

Ill look give a moment to revamp list

Those are the only 1s to match your ssid

@bigduby

Thank you for the shortened list. I used the first one and the card seems to be working. The GIGABYTE RGB is not working. Is this related to the BIOS (or can it be)? I don't want to try another one (push my luck) if its not related.
Thanks.

Im not sure with RGB at all, ensure the cables are hooked up from the heatsink to the PCB

You might try bios 2 on the short list

turned out to be a loose wire on the RGB side.

Whew i almost flipped thinking it was an RX 500 lol due to there being different gddr5 iterations from Samsung, Hynix, Micron, Elpida.

This says v2.3

Normal Fan Operation (Move bios switch to the right)

Move bios switch to left for quiet fan

Tread lightly with these 2

That card comes with a dual bios switch

Switch left is silent, right is oc, its on the left side by the vid out ports on the edge when installed in a case

Left Bios for the left position switch worked for the last one.

Yet another one...

Verified, not latest

Left Silent Bios

Right OC Bios

Here are the latest.

It was the OC side I needed and that worked. I have what seems like a similar GPU but I'm posting here to be sure. I didn't want to assume anything.

That 1 is at Game Speed. Interesting

For this 1, I want you to reopen gpu-z and click the black arrow left of the uefi checkbox.

Through gpu-z attempt to upload the bios to the VGA Bios Collection/Database (not on the thread), you should get prompted that the bios is already in the database with a link to it, copy and paste that link here

This current bios is a modified bios for mining. Just wanted to let you know before I send you down the wrong rabbit hole. I did the above and it did NOT give me a duplicate error. Wants me to upload it. I am holding off for further information. This is what I put into the information box:
model: 5700 XT
model name: Red Devil RX 5700 XT

I'm on hold awaiting further instructions.

Ok yes that is fine just mention it is a possible mining bios in the description

No joy on the OC side (which is what i need to fix). Trying to attach a pic of the error. I'll keep trying if this doesn't come through.

Yeah sometimes what happens is they get hard locked. And this is a powercolor which can be a pita to flash

You may need to switch to 2.93

Download atiflash/amdvbflash 2.93
Go here https://www.techpowerup.com/download/ati-atiflash/

Then look for Version 4.68, underneath 4.68 you will see a link to show older version, click that and you should see version 2.93

Then

Follow these steps carefully:

1. Open your "C:" drive in Windows, create a new folder, call it atiflash.

2. Extract the contents of atiflash_293.zip to the "C:\atiflash" folder

3. Find the bios file you downloaded and rename the bios file to p57xt.rom

4. Move p57xt.rom to the "C:\atiflash" folder

5. Open the start menu, type cmd, when cmd.exe appears right click it and hit "Run as administrator"

6. At the command prompt type in cd\ and press enter until only C:\> is on the screen.

7. Type in cd/atiflash and press enter, you should see C:\atiflash>

7a. At C:\atiflash> type in amdvbflash.exe -i to identify what number your gpu is marked with (0, 1, 2)

8. At the C:\atiflash> prompt type in
amdvbflash.exe -unlockrom 0 (or 1, 2)
(there is a space between the e and -unlockrom and 0)(0 is the number zero)
press enter and you will be prompted that the "ROM Unlocked"

9. At the C:\atiflash> prompt type in
amdvbflash.exe -f -p 0 p57xt.rom
(there is a space between the .exe and -f, and a space between -f and -p and 0)press enter.

Follow directions on screen and if flash is successful exit the command prompt and restart, windows should show up on screen

If that still doesnt work follow this guide

And this guide

@bigduby

@damric any additional info?

No luck with 2.93.
That means you most likely will need a SPI Programmer that Solaris17s link has. And do a bios chip hard flash.

Do you have any other gpus that need a flash?

I have a couple more that did not start on boot/no video that I will still have to do if I can get them back to life.

I got nothing. The first Navi GPUs I have not had my hands on. I didn't even know that people were flashing those. I thought they were limited to softmods using MPT like big Navi, but I guess miners gonna find a way, and probably why it got messed up. I would take a look at Igor's lab and see if anything else useful can be gleaned. He has some tools that may work.

Those you will consider placing along side a working gpu, boot on the good gpu and then open gpu-z and switch it to the non working gpu. Also getting the stickers and ram chip pics from those

@bigduby

For example in my case when i flashed a 5700XT, i tried even 6-10 times until it decided out of a sudden to accept my commands.
So just be patient

Interesting
Well, you can imagine my face when i realized that i finally managed to flash the file in it ? :)
Forgot to mention : it happened to 2 different cards : 1x XFX and 1x Sapphire.
I restored them, both of them had a mining bios in it.
I bought them for my kid's computer and both of them are functioning properly now
