RX 9070 availability

To update those who maybe stopped looking, stock is starting to stabilise at least in the UK. You can argue that most of these models are overpriced but you can now buy a 9070 on Amazon and get it tomorrow or within a few days if you really want one. I'm seeing scalpers on eBay being forced to lower their prices.

I see some stock at Scan UK, too, albeit not the cheapest models. Although, the cheapest models sort of stabilised in price (669 for the XT, 594 for the non-XT), those are not in stock.

Love to see it. Seen the price of the 7900xt coming right down again as well and the 5080 has been in stock, albeit at 1200...

My guess still is, by summer the GPU market going to be a total graveyard and should be plenty of stock at msrp of pretty much everything (assuming gddr7 supply issues sorted).

Mindfactory now (since saturday or friday) has 9070 cards in stock.

XT card 789 € ~ 849 €

non XT card 677 € ~ 688 €

Most of them XFX & one Powercolor Hellhound

Seems like with every week there is more stock creeping in to the market (and prices adjust slightly down)

RTX 9070: £600 and OOS
RTX 5070: £540 and available

Almost three weeks after launch of the 9070XT, UK availability at MSRP is absolutely zero.
I'm scripting price checks of all the major retailers and nothing has even shown up on the radar at MSRP since about 6 minutes after the official launch at 2pm on the 7th.

What we have in stock is scalped by a bare minimum of £100. The 9070XT is supposed to be £569 and the cheapest model I've seen in stock (briefly, extremely limited quantities) is £699, a mere 23% markup.

Meanwhile, the £729 5070Ti is seemingly in stock and staying in stock at £799. I already have one (got lucky on launch day) but if the choice is between a £700 9070XT or an £800 5070Ti, I'm going with Nvidia.

AMD needed to offer a real-world 20% undercut of Nvidia in price-to-performance this generation to have any hope of success. Doing that with a fake MSRP that hasn't existed since mere seconds after the limited quantity, 'fake news' launch editions that were quite literally refunded post-payment for me and many others is so scammy it's ruined the entire credibility of AMD's message.

They already undercut Nvidia by at least 10% for the entirety of the 6000-series and 7000-series and all that did was lose them marketshare. So a mere 12% discount over Nvidia right now in the real world isn't interesting at all. It's the very-expected, and very depressing dissapointment that has come to represent AMD in the market since the glorious days of GCN's launch back in 2012. AMD lacks developer support, they lack MFG, they lack neural rendering, and they lack GDDR7. Yes, the raytracing is better on the 9070XT but it's still inferior, heck I really want a 9070XT for my second machine but it's barely even an upgrade on the 4070S when it comes to raytracing. In certain situations (heavy path-tracing) I'm not even sure it's an upgrade at all since the end result is near-identical performance, but the 9070XT is guzzling down 80% more power to achieve that.

I want to support AMD but availability, real-world pricing, RT performance, and power-efficiency are still significantly worse than our evil overlord, Nvidia.

Germany has for several days certain 9070 cards and a few 9070XT cards. In my point of view 140% of should be price. I really wonder when I will see real price drops.

With the -£50 rebate MSRP in mind, this is an actual MSRP card. The £579 price was temporary, this is the real one so if you want an MSRP XT right now here's your chance.

So I went to the PC store yesterday. They had lots of 40 series boxes. They had 1 7600 box. I guess I spent enough time for a Salesman to notice me and he told me they had stock of a lot more you just had to ask. I have a 7900XT so I don't care. As an example I got back into CP2077 started a Mission and noticed my FPS in the 40s. Went into settings and turned off RT and 111 was back in effect. Having said that the 9070XT is getting nothing but love on twitter from owners. Apparently there is also a bug in Optiscaler that reports the 9070XT as a 4090. That is not made up.

While I was waiting to check out. The person in front of me was asking about GPUs. The clerk asked him what card were you looking it and he said Asus ROG 5090. In Canada the Asus ROG is $4299+tax. He then told him that they list their stock 15 minutes before the store opens on the site and that the store in Scarborough might have one. When it was my turn. All I said was 600 watts is crazy. He then said all of the negative narratives that are against Nvidia right now. It still does not matter they want what they have been told is the best. At the price even the premium on the Nitro+ with it's revolutionary design is in a laughable way attractive given that backdrop. Unfortunately, PSU makers seem to believe this 12VhPWR as some lower power units now for go at least 2 PCIe cables for that. I had to buy a cheaper but known PSU for a project. Lower power units i.e 750 Watts are either too expensive, looking at Corsair, or they have given up on PCIe Cables for the sake of 12VHPWR.

On NewEgg I have auto notify on for 3 models. Got a notification for the ASRock 9070 XT Steel Legend when I was at work. By the time I got to a safe place to pull over it was out of stock again. And the nearest MicroCenter is 2 hours away from me.

Since I posted this, the models ready to be shipped through Prime have now been bought, current delivery estimation is now 25th April.

Still stock at £619 if you're still interested and don't mind waiting a few weeks.

What the actual f**k is this deluded bulls**t.
To summarise, the original MSRP was AMD doing a charity for the retailers who paid extra for their cards since they originally planned to charge more. The actual MSRP was £50 higher (possibly more) and will not be returning to £579 for the XT or £529 for the non-XT. Anybody who wants a 9070 anytime soon will not be paying launch prices because those prices were fake (or temporary is a better word maybe). That Sapphire offer was one of the better deals people will see for a while (selling out already though).

This is just bullshit from retailers trying to push the prices up. Do you work for one of them ?

Highly probable cards will be available at the original msrp by June and beyond that...

This is what has been reported by PC tech channels such as Hardware Unboxed and Gamers Nexus based on their sources and information they're aware of. There are a few articles here too that covered "launch only pricing" where AMD kind of puts the responsibility on AIBs to make cheaper models following the launch. Edit: Just want to add it'd kind of a big deal for multiple retailers to lie about AMD's initial MSRP being limited to launch day. A few mark ups here and there, sure, but this would be quite the cooperated lie.

Anyways, I just wanted to share what is probably the cheapest XT price since after initial launch day in case anybody really wanted one. I would hope prices improve by June. We shall see.

That story came from a retailer and is "horse manure" that's been refuted directly by AMD. It's a scam to push prices up short term, pretty much.

Yeap, The same YouTubers (HUB) have stated that they are uncertain about what will happen. However, they acknowledged that AMD could potentially adjust the selling price of future batches of chips to ensure the final product reaches MSRP without requiring rebates.
The retailer discounts occurred solely due to a last-minute price adjustment.

620 pounds that's 740€, never seen a RX 9070 XT under 800€ usually it costs 825-900€ when availability is extremely good. In first months i bought a RX 7800 XT pure for 530€ (that's only 30€ over msrp) for a new gpu and i will not overpay more than 100€ for a RX 9070 XT. If AMD can sell RX 9070 XT for close to msrp price nvidia will lose good amount of users.

If you mean the comments by AMD promising to increase stock and bring back more MSRP cards after the initial launch, I'm taking that with a grain of salt. I can believe stock increases but, as for pricing, AMD did indeed have to compensate retailers for their last-minute price change and anything that would happen after that has been unclear. I'm not saying AMD would lie here but they're still a very rich company that knows how to say things that please shareholders. Time will tell if launch MSRP returns. :ohwell:

Yeah, when I saw this I figured it might have been a scam but it's sold and shipped by Amazon (meaning they also take returns without trouble) with verified reviews. XTs haven't been selling this low at all since launch. If AMD can indeed do something to make the launch MSRP stick they'll be in a great place. It's not like the 5070 cards are any cheaper after all.

Update: Sapphire £619 XT on Amazon sold out now since this morning. There are bids on eBay as low as £500 but bids usually get competitive towards the end. Still a chance I guess.

But you can hear the edited audio in AMD's launch video when the "$599 starting price" is mentioned @ 25:27.
Corroborating this with the $50 launch-day rebate and the horrible price of the 9070 compared to the 9070 XT we can see that the original MSRP of $649 seems legit.
Compared to that, $549 for the 9070 would be quite alright, but then the 9070 XT wouldn't look like a such a good deal compared to the 5070 Ti.

The problem is if in the meantime the bottom-tier/MSRP cards sold for $700 what incentive would there be for AMD to return to a $600 MSRP and not a $650 MSRP?

If nVidia does nothing to increase RTX availability then AMD is likely to milk the situation as much as possible, the only thing they have to do is have cards available and at clearly lower prices than the RTX cards, then people will buy them even if they are paying $100 over MSRP for bottom-tier/MSRP cards like the Prime, Reaper etc.

Here, the situation seems to be stabilizing a bit. I'm starting to see PowerColor and Sapphire cards showing up again, both 9070 and 9070 XT. Prices aren't at MSRP, but they’re not as crazy as they were two weeks ago either. There's a trend now of around €80–100 over launch day pricing. Not great, but not terrible.

Price and availability in general still pretty bad where I am locally, circa $900 USD for an XT, and $750 USD for a non-XT. With the odd batches coming in roughly $100-150 USD cheaper, which evaporate instantly.

Good demand for MSRP models with non MSRP sitting mostly sitting on shelves.

Sapphire Pulse XT (the model that was at MSRP on launch day) is currently being sold and shipped by Amazon (not third party) for $1049.95. Nuts

Edit (next day): the following day, I and possibly others had reported the price on Amazon and I'm not sure if that triggered it, but they've dropped the price to $750. I wonder how many people they scammed into paying over $1k.
