Hi

needed some help here , i bought this 2nd hand rx580 8g from my friends 1 month ago and it was working on the spot when i plug into my pc.
last week i manage to get another rx470 and wanted to test it out for my .

after my test , i put back the rx580 and try to boot it what i get is the gpu led light is on but the fan itself never spin at all . i can feel the gpu warm after a while.

1. i try with a spare motherboard with new psu and amd3000g , and i only put rx580 to run hiveos only see my amd3000g.
2. i try it alone in windows machine , i can't get an output and i dont think the system is booting . there wasn't any beep sound. i am runing evga ga650w (with 2x4 ddr3 and a ssd card only.

I try to check on sapphire side the SKU is 11265-14 but i can't find it at rx580 ranges .

i search through the forum but i cant find any exact information. i can't get the GPu-z info but it can't even detect at all.

any advice on this ?

Hello there.
Please make 1 pictures. One of the labels from the card and the second from the memory chips (for that you need to open the card)
In order to find an exact match for your card we need those info.
I would like you to put that card in a system with an onboard video card, boot with the onboard gpu as primary and after you enter in windows go to device manager.
Tell us what it shows there.
anyway this system with onboard gpu will be used for flashing your card

Download please an older version of atiflash (2.93)
Put AtiFlash folder in root (c:\) so you will have c:\AtiFlash
Save the BIOS file you have (one of the above files) in the AtiFlash folder and rename it as RX580.rom
Open CMD with admin privileges.
(Win+S key to open search box. In search box enter word : cmd and on result that appear right click on it and choose "run as administrator" )
Use CD command to enter AtiFlash folder (directory)
Use the following command to forceflash:
amdvbflash -p -f -fa -fs 0 RX580.rom
After BIOS is flashed a message will appear to restart computer

Keep us informed how it went

Hello there.
All of them are for your card. You will try them 1 by 1.
In order to save your current BIOS you need to download GPU-z from Techpowerup.
Then in the window that appear you will have a button in a arrow shape that allows you to save your current BIOS

my GPuZ only able to detect my IGP(buildin with amd 3000g) but not the rx580 hence i can't save the bios.

as mention earlier , amdvbflash can't detect my card . i try to run with -i no adapter was found as well.

Well, in that case you have a "bricked" video card.
In this case you will have to follow the "unbricking" procedure.

Well, after you short the pin 1 to 8 - you press the start button of the computer.
AFTER and only AFTER windows finished to load you remove the short.
Now you can flash the card using the standard flashing procedure

EDIT: before using the short pin procedure please use the DDU in order to clean the old drivers from the system.
Remember to remove the network so this way you will stop windows to auto update the video drivers.
With the network off , you close the computer.
Put in the Card in PCIex, short 8-1 and start
AFTER win started you remove the short and you will start the flashing procedure as i listed above.
After BIOS was flashed you restart computer and then you will clean install the video driver (DO NOT PUT YET NETWORK CABLE)
After you reinstall the video driver you can attach the network cable.
After restart you should have a fully functional card
Keep us informed

I open out the GPU and locate the chip as mention by you then I use a paperclick to touch pin 1 and pin 8. (That GPU is insert into my pcie slot)

Result - when I start my pc nothing was display still.

I would like to inform you that you must do this procedure in a system that have iGP (onboard video card).
Your card should be inserted in a PCIex but in motherboard BIOS you should choose the default video card as the iGP (the one on board)
Then you do the paperclip procedure
In case you forgot to set the iGP as default that could lead to black screen.
On the other hand i have myself a RX580 dead which makes the same symptoms as you described.
In case the paperclip fails then you have a genuine brick (like i have ) ... :)
