RX590 - error 43

I bought this card as faulty for 30$, this is what i tried:
- DDU in safe mode
- Flashed new vbios , i think the seller also tried that because it had vbios with samsung vram (i oppened it up to check and it has Hynix H5GQ8H24MJR)
- ATI Pixel Clock Patcher
- its a rx590 checked the code (215-0922006)
When i opened it up it still had the warranty sticker intact.
Any ideas to fix it ?

The card should have dual bios. Did you try the quiet or performance bios by changing the bios switch?

It could be the card is not able to run the rated speeds anymore. You can try a RX580 bios which is based on the same board number (E366):

Before anything else we would need the following pictures :
- GPU-z with main screen
- GPU-z > advanced tab > from drop down menu you choose Advanced timings
- Labels from your card

But since you've opened the card already and you confirmed that your card have Hynix MJR chips, then i could confirm that the BIOS you tried last is correct.
It is possible to have another problem not the BIOS itself.
It could be a hardware fault.
Try also AMD pixel patcher.

Is there any other fix? i also have a ch341a programmer if that helps (tried AMD pixel patcher still doesnt work)

@Imperator Did you read my post correctly? I suggested a slower Polaris bios since it could be that the card is unable to run those RX590 clocks.

That makes sense since the bios belongs to a slower model.

Which version of amdvbflash are you using? If you use version 2.93 then force flash option should be available from command prompt.

For RX 500 Series (Polaris) and Older:

Get amdvbflash 2.93

Then look for Version 4.68, underneath 4.68 you will see a link to show older version, click that and you should see version 2.93

Follow these steps carefully:

1. Open your "C:" drive in Windows, create a new folder, call it atiflash.

2. Extract the contents of atiflash_293.zip to the "C:\atiflash" folder

3. Find the bios file you downloaded and rename the bios file to 5 digits with .rom on end Example RX 580, change file to rx580.rom (r****.rom)

4. Move r****.rom to the "C:\atiflash" folder

5. Open the start menu, type cmd, when cmd.exe appears right click it and hit "Run as administrator"

6. At the command prompt type in cd\ and press enter until only C:\> is on the screen.

7. Type in cd/atiflash and press enter, you should see C:\atiflash>

8. Type in amdvbflash.exe -i to identify the gpu you want to flash with a 0, 1, or 2)

9. At the C:\atiflash> prompt type in
amdvbflash.exe -unlockrom 0
(there is a space between the e and -unlockrom and 0)(0 is the number zero)
press enter and you will be prompted that the "ROM Unlocked" (or 1, 2)

10. At the C:\atiflash> prompt type in
amdvbflash.exe -f -p 0 r****.rom
(there is a space between the .exe and -f, and a space between -f and -p and 0).
(Or 1, 2)

Press Enter

Follow directions on screen and if flash is successful exit the command prompt and restart, windows should show up on screen

Yes i read your post.
As long as the card can be flashed, we will suggest the right BIOS for it.
After that in windows he will use the software to under clock and under voltage his card, but with the right BIOS.
At least this is my suggestion.
He is free to do what he want.

Found the cause (I think). I followed this YouTube video to test the vram and it found chip 7 and 8 faulty.

Instead of "python3 dmgg.py e0000000 10 8" type "python3 dmgg.py e0000000 244 8"

The command that he used with 10 mb didn't find any chip faulty but after I increased the number it started to show artifacts and detected the chips

Also I installed an older driver from 2018 and the error 43 was completely gone (even appeared in task manager) but the artifacts were going crazy.

Tried , still had error 43.

Also I installed an older driver from 2018 and the error 43 was completely gone (even appeared in task manager) but the artifacts were going crazy.

Pretty sure is vram problem, maybe i will try to replace the 2 chips that the script found faulty.

Sorry to dig this up, have you got it working? I got a 43 error RX 590 too. Should arrive in 2 days at most. I'm hoping it's as easy as a BIOS flash. Did you get yours up and running?

nah, I cooked the vram chips when I tried to solder them with the hot air station and gave up.
