It's an Amd card. It runs so hot that it burns the dust off on contact.
Can't even knock that comment with 2 of them ,spot on lol worthy.
I may have replied different in a Monday morning though;).

I understand why they did it. There are just some of the most stupidest people out there, that they are trying to shield them self's from. A neighbor of mine wanted me to install her GTA V on a pc that is running a 478 socket cpu with a Fx 5200 just because she paid 50$ for the pc a few years ago and it should be fine.

Man I wont offer to help anyone anymore. I reinstalled her the windows XP and that's it.

The same as for the GPu if you can clean it without damaging it you don't have to worry about the warranty.

Because you don't see the dust collecting on the fins because they are hidden under plastic shroud. But I can assure you the dust is collecting in there.

Im telling you I stated such for a reason. I always had blowers until late 2014. I've pulled the shrouds countless times. Always clean. The only place dust accumulates is on the rotary fan blades.

So assure me all you want, my eyes have seen different.

It is going to largely depend on the type of dust in the environment.

I've pulled shrouds on my own cards and the heatsink was pretty clean. But I've pulled shrouds on cards from people with pets or smokers and I could peel the dust off the heatsink fins like lint off a dryer lint trap.

I live in a very humid environment. Rains allot. The positive is no static electricity. The negative is dust sticks to everything and is very hard to get off without soap and water. This is the main reason I use filters.

i just spoke with Sapphire support, apparently this JUST happened to a friend who i built a PC for/with, and he has a sapphire 480, His blew off when he was cleaning the PC, and I called sapphire for Him, surprisingly, they suggested that it NOT be removed, and that although he said, unless there are Obvious signs of tampering, they would STILL accept the card for RMA, but if possible try to avoid removing them, since these newer batch of 480's are AMD cards, and not AIB, 480's the RMA process has an extra step, and they are dealt with by AMD, so long story short, avoid taking it off, and if it DOES come off, try and avoid opening the card up, or do a good job, otherwise they mightr reject the RMA.

in all my years that sticker hasnt meant jack here in the US, but i have never dealt with Sapphire tho.
good luck

Positive air pressure with filter on intakes

My ati hd4870 was single slot blower. Folded for over a year. Hold the fan gently.
Blow from the exhaust to the fan. Dust comes right out. Never had problems not of my own making.

So, not an issue for me.
