Seagate One Touch 12 TB making a high-pitched noise

Hi Everyone,

I have a new brand Seagate One Touch 12 TB External hard disk. However, I hear a high-pitched noise (like nonstop beep noise) as heard in the following video.

At 15. second in the video, I'm unplugging the hard disk to let you understand there is a high-pitched noise.

Should I return the hard disk?

I will be glad to hear your opinion about the noise.

i'd return it cuz that could daage your hearing or give anyone in your house a migraine and if it allready did you need to send seagate the bill for the meds lol

Sounds perfectly normal to me. Is it performing poorly or giving you any other issues?

Sounds like the many disks inside are properly spinning
Please make a transfer test with big data and check for errors, otherwise that's perfectly normal
CrystalDiskInfo is your friend

It's a spinning harddrive, they'll make noise.

I just started my Seagate Expansion 8TB and while it's hard to judge sound levels by a camera I'd say the noise is comparable.
