Should I replace my GTX 1070 Ti with an RX 6600 XT?

I would have guessed that Germany or Austria would be the place to buy for you. (I know, not in stock everywhere)

Well, these stores either only ship to Austria or Germany, or the final price would be higher than 730€ with shipping to Hungary.

If I buy a brand new GPU then I prefer to have local 'read: in my country' retail 2-3 years warranty on it, sending it back to Germany or any other EU country in case something happens to it is not something I want to deal with.

We have a pretty good second hand marketplace here 'where I bought my 1070 and sold my 570' and if I can't buy a brand new GPU from a retailer in my country then I buy from that place instead. 'often have brand new cards with better prices than any retailer and still comes with some sort of warranty'
I'm assuming thats where the OP will also try to sell his 1070 Ti.
Indeed. :)

Anyways, I think I'll stick with my 1070 Ti for a while, it's not like I really need the extra performance. It would be nice, but it's not a must for the games I play. Thank you so much everybody for your help! :)

Just save and grab a 6700XT

That would be wise, no need to contribute to the GPU scarcity when it's not really necessary, you would be CPU bottlenecked in older games at 1080p anyways.

The only retail availability I have in my area is MicroCenter, and they inflate the prices on every card but the percentage shoot up for anything that can be used for mining.

So a 6600XT has a multipler of 1.5x-1.7x, but the 6700XT is around 2.2x selling for at least $999-$1100 here (I think the retail is $479).

And the multiplier is higher when it's Nvidia. Just a non-starter for me. They're selling 6900 XTs for $1700-$1800 based on the model. That's on the shelf.

Hi guys,

What do you think, should I replace my GTX 1070 Ti with an RX 6600 XT?

The RX 6600 XT is a brand new, unopened Sapphire Pulse with 3 years warranty and is ~730€. My GTX 1070 Ti is quite rare, I think I could sell it for ~550€, so the price difference is ~180€.

Thanks for any advice.
that 6600xt works out to equivalent 1219 nz dollar . Here they are 899nz dollar which also includes 15 percent goods and services tax . think mwave in australia is 899 australian a little more than here .
i know they ship to nz and only took a few days for a order i did round christmas for socket1700 bracket . Could be worth finding a country that would ship to you.
730 pounds is so much .

I been thinking something the same, from 1070 to 6600 but its very hard to justify the purchase. I can sell 1070 so it can cut about 75% of the price of 6600 but I don't know if that's a good move for 1080p gaming

The difference seems to be ~35% performance-wise between them as well, sor for ~33% more money, you'll have ~33% more performance if you have Zen 3 and PCIe 4.0, which you don't currently. :)
