I'll start. No judgement here. I just like to see the guts of things. Don't be shy. We've all seen worse.

You never said no dragons.

Haha mine probably looks like a dirty poodle with a mole under the cheek.

But now I see you meant a case.. not gonna lie.. I got a bit lazy.. only because I could. I ran a loaded Torrent Compact for like 2 years, you had to be fastidious with you're cabling.

I will be back with an edit..

This is my torrent compact (with 5800x) and yes, it is much tighter than the full-size torrent.

My 5800x is in a Torrent Compact.....it is quite a bit tighter than the full-sized torrent.
Dude.. I even had 3 SSD on the backside.. what a pita to cable. Took me like 3 hours.. but that is with Youtube and herbs in the mix..

In the name of PATA, floppy and the SATA spirit...
I do not miss PATA and FD cables.. forget it. I think I still have my fancy one with a blue wire that lights up.. all fancy like that :D

I still have a few of the round ones. I don't miss ribbon cables either.

Showing my backside with a few Tau on top; for the Greater Good.

This case is effin amazing. Cable management what? Everything just naturally ends up where it should; all in one corner behind the GPU, even the built in power cable (white, topside) is there to declutter it all.

Sorry, but I don't show my backside to strangers on the internet, hahahahaha :D

However, if you REALLY wanna see the backside of my mini-me box, you should be prepared to be somewhat underwhelmed, as there isn't much to see there....

Man, you guys are really going to make me pull my case out.. haha So far the backsides are looking good! Errr clean!

In PC terms its like asking for a 'private' pic but hey I've been around for long enough to not care.
I'm in the process of my usual spring room cleaning and wanted to open up my PC anyway.

My PC's back is facing my window so I've had to turn it sideways to take a pic.
Its kind of meh but personally I'm cool with it as long as it fits and non of the cables or connectors are over stressed so I leave everything a bit loose if possible. 'I do care about the front part a lot more since its always visible'

You never said no dragons.

I was wondering, whats the purpose of that piece of wood in the case?

1. Buy a PC case with an HDD mounting system.
2. Buy a PSU that doesn't fit because of the aforementioned system.
3. Rip this system off.
4. Realize it's no longer sturdy and waddles.
5. ????????
6. Use a piece of wood to make it stable.

Alright that explains it, I guess thats one way to fix it.

I mean, I have no welding equipment on hand... Had to make do.

Holy sh... I just realized I have a PC case like that for 1.5 years already. Time flies.

I used a Duplo brick on my last case. Cheapest most robust anti sag ever. Not recommended for backside applications though.

fractal meshify 2 - (psu full modular)

more cables than usual because of 6 new fans... i could reduce fractal power-button down to a single cable but i would lose the audio jack and 3 usb on the front panel, if i did...

Gorgeous

It's dirty and it looked better before I took the 4080 out. I have some improvements planned but with the endless delays on my 5090...

No need to have good wire management if this hidden behind a panel. Made sense to do some management with IDE cables since they couldn't be hidden.

I literally put zero effort into managing cables for this build.. it was a breath of fresh air :)

I might speak five languages but I don't speak cable management.

For me it kind of just depends on the build. If it is something industrial that none one will ever see the inside of, I don't worry much about it. If it is a gaming system or something special, I tend to go to great lengths to make it look nice (since the labor costs more on these rigs, I like to make sure the customer gets their money's worth).

I mostly got this thread started because I saw a thread the other day where the guy was not wanting to show pictures because he was embarrassed by his cable management (or lack there of). I don't want people to be embarrassed or ashamed of something that is a skill that takes time and practice to develop. That, and I do like seeing behind the curtain on how equipment works. I find it very informative, and frankly, fun.
