Show us your command center thread?

thats the old thermaltaker case, i had that back in the day...its huge and heavy.......its a solid unit.
Yeah I'll run it until the pump dies. Still keeps my Devils Canyon cool.

as for the desk yeah it's way passed it's sell by date i have already added steal supports to it lol.

I feel you there. I dont remember the exact date, but id DO know i built(assembled) my pc desk the year before ebay came online.i know it was before Y2K. I need a new one... :)

Its too cold in my cave this time of year so i have temporarily decamped to the sitting room and the luxury of a 3 seater leather settee and the opportunity for lying down.

Sell something and buy a camera

I give this stuff away-hopefully a camera comes along better than an Argus 1.5 pixel huh? :)

Wow, imagine the amount of information people can get out of those desktop photos to predict the owner's personality and etc. Digital era surely is amazing.

Pretty much already knew enough about @CAPSLOCKSTUCK at the fourms without the photos. Nothing to revealing in the photos that's for sure.

Here's mine, for the short period of time I had a clean desk :)

It is modified AKiTiO Thunder2. You can't see the Corsair RM550x hiding under the desk to power the video card and enclosure.

Yup, same here. I was following the eGPU world since I first heard of Thunderbolt being announced. I essentially said: "PCIe over a Cable - I want a GPU connected to that!". I eventually switched to an eGPU setup about two years ago and never looked back to a desktop.

A bit off-topic, but the eGPU world is actually picking up steam ever since Thunderbolt3 launched. Before Thunderbolt3, it was all about either hacking together Thunderbolt2 enclosures that were not originally meant for GPU use (like my setup here), or using Expresscard or mPCIe to PCIe slot adapters. Thunderbolt3 supports eGPUs intentionally, and as a result there is a flood of eGPU enclosures entering the market over the past six months or so. We have one by AKiTiO, Asus, Razer, Powercolor, Mantiz and other manufacturers (Gigabyte, Acer, MSI) are also joining the race. Windows 10 also has excellent support, allowing plug-and-play eGPUs to work reliably, and both the green and red camps have added a "remove safely" button in their drivers.

If you want to see a collection of eGPU setups, you can take a look over at egpu.io.

and Caps is "still rolling with the times"

Yep and not scared to admit it, my doctor knows about it as does my consultant and my family. Conventional painkillers just dont work on me even the worst/best of them just give me side effects.

i was talking to my Dr yesterday, and due to legalization in my state for recreational use, he recommended for sleep ...:shadedshu:....maybe i wouldnt be up @ 5am posting on TPU then i suppose.

the most serious after effects are at work and driving. Just because your state legalized it doesnt mean that workplace and highway laws have changed.

i dont use it either way, i dont care for it . to be honest, i dont even drink.

The "real fuckery" is that although states legalize it, it IS still very much illegal as far as federal law is concerned, so big brother retains the right to "take your shit" if he sees fit.gotta love the US of A :)

Kids pc's
Looking at this post after a while I begin to wonder what kind of PC I could've built had I not spent so much money on child related expenses . I suppose that's the cost of the joy of being a parent
