Since MemTest64 can't use every bit of your RAM

Is it still adequate enough to determine RAM stability? Since the OS and whatnot still has to run, that memory space can't be checked.
 
I would guess that it is. Have you tried to use your operating system while running Memtest? As someone who has, it is definitely taking a backseat to memtest.

If you still have doubts, use the built-in windows memory test
 
I thought Memtest86+ was the ultimate memory test?

Aren't they just different versions for the corresponding operating system? one for 32 bit, and one for 64 bit?

IMO, it is, but even that has to load itself into memory so all the memory isn't actually tested. Granted, it is a lot less in memory than Windows and all the programs.
