So the last day or 2 my internet has been a flat out snail. I couldn't stream videos on youtube very well (and I'm talking non-HD versions). I only have the basic 1Mb DL cable with .5Mb up, so I was just waiting it out, but it finally got old. I know it's not the fastest internet, but I really haven't ever had issues with it.

So I finally hoped on Charters site and talked with someone (didn't call since it was like 4am). I'm talking with this lady, she gives me the "reset everything mumbo jumbo" which I tell her I had just done (not a lie). So she tells me to wait a sec, then says she's going to ping me. 5 minutes pass and no response from her. All of a sudden I check and there is like 4 responses, the first saying seems like no issue or something. Then 2 more messages saying I'm timed out, and the 4th saying the session timed out

I then look and I actually have no internet, not sure if the ping caused that or what. So I wasn't too happy about this time as I would most likely have to go through the same crap again talking to someone else. But I decide to check Speedtest real quick and see if it worked.

My before results were about 1Mb/s Down and a horrible 0.10Mb/s Up. So then ran the test again and here's the results.

I actually ran those just now, but it's now 9:43am here and I talked to her almost 5 hours ago, and the results haven't changed. So I don't know whats going on, I'm pretty happy, but wondering when I'm gonna get slapped back to 1Mb :(

I have had similar problems way back, ends up, they did bump us up to the next service (we had 3mbps, we got 6mbps) just to get me off the phone, going through 3 tech support guys cause I knew more than they did. You did well.

quickly checked out their website, 2 main packages:

Dude, it must be charter. They are a really crappy company when it comes to there internet. I'm currently having problems with them were they no longer want to come to my house. lol

Ok so they upgraded you to their better package by mistake. I would do nothing.

Yeah, I been thinking about the 5Mb package for a while, still have the 5Mb/s going, will have to check tomorrow, lol.

They may have upgraded their network. Service usually does get pretty sporadic when they do.

*sits at home with over 150MB/s* :toast:
