So i've been using windows 10 for a while now on my work desktop... and I've been pretty happy with it... until today. Seems they've released an update that took a good 30 min or so to install... and now every time I launch a full screen game the start menu for whatever reason decides to open on its own forcing me to desktop. does it with more than one game. very frustrating to say the least.

report it to Microsoft. There's a reason they have the Preview program for their software now.

looks like just bugs but it could be from your game

i consider win 10, but maybe after some months

Tempted to plop Win10 on my laptop since it needs a fresh reinstall, but I also want it bug-free. Hmm....

I have the latest leaked iso build ,yet I am to lazy to bother.

Just found out about the fricken keylogger today. DAMMIT!!! Really wish I would have known about that a lot sooner. They can spy on me all they want. But if that data gets into the wrong hands I'M GONNA SUE THEIR ASSES OFF!!! That's just some borderline insanely risky shit they've been pulling with that move. WTF they think they need that info for anyway gives me a splitting migraine trying to understand. Oh well...at least I know now.:shadedshu:

its a pre-release, and its to catch bugs so they know what users were doing when the system crashed. Win10 has never been advertised as an OS anyone should use as a primary OS in its current state, its for bug testing.

but I like to live dangerously :P

Yup, serious bugs, inconvenient continual, large updates and keylogging are what one has to put with for a beta OS like this.

Still, if one is ok with this and give Microsoft the feedback it needs, it will all help to make for a much more polished OS that works better and more securely out of the box and has the features that people want.

We've already had the Start menu return over the backlash to Windows 8 and now I see that Aero is starting to make a comeback, for example. :)

Fixed it for you.
I'll download and install the RTM version about a month or so after it's officially released, to allow for some bug cleaning.

And after the stable release do you think they will disable the keylogger. The fact that they will offer a free upgrade even to pirates is another thing that bugs me.
What if you upgrade to win 10 and the keylogger is still active, and it can store all the sites you view and log each user and password you use.

Slowly puts on tinfoil hat. xD

TIN FOIL HATS AHOY! I need one for me and one for each of my fish.

10074 is very okay. The OS is far better under the hood than anything in NT6 branch. It is just faster and much more rational.

They key logger thoughts.... I don't care I don't do anything shady, you are free to put blacklist in host file, the servers are known...

I had a similar issue with my Logitech T400 wireless mouse...every time I'd hit the middle button to lob a grenade. BAM....back to the desktop and the start menu would open. Although...I could hear the explosion through the speakers. Needless to say...rather annoying. I had to go in to Logitech's SetPoint software and do a little button rearranging. Might want to double check and make sure it's not a convenience feature of your mouse.

I tried Windows 10 for a few minutes but the fan on my laptop went to full speed and never came back down...so I reverted back to Windows 7. Would like to try it again, but I'm waiting until the official release.

Best,

Liquid Cool

Ah man that's the whole point, contribute and fix the error or report in insider hub. You might wan't to disable windows key in gamer profile. But M$ hotfix is already in the pipe. I use razer crap so enabling gaming mode it does it by default :D

Yeah, 10074 couldn't have come soon enough. That build 10061 was the worst piece of crap yet. I couldn't believe how massively the thing corrupted itself, just from using System Restore(which worked just fine in every other build). And then my dumb ass trying to fix it for days. What a nightmare.:banghead:

EDIT: No more screensaver? They'll be hearing from me on that.
