My idea was to run 2 SSDs in RAID 1. I wanted all of the data to be duplicated. But 2 SSDs are expensive.

I was thinking of running only 1 SSD, and backing it up as an image every week. That way, if anything happened, I could just restore the image, and effectively roll back to last week.

Then comes the issue of what to backup. I guess I would backup documents and game saves manually.

This would effectively give me 99% data duplication.

Is there something better that I can do? W1zard, in an earlier thread that I made, you mentioned using software RAID type solutions. What are the awesome software RAID type solutions, and how do they work?

Thanks so much for your responses!

If you want SSD speed you'll need 2 SSDs for any solution. Raid1 will only be as fast as the slowest drive
