Hey.
I made a thread about this a while ago, but completely forgot about it. More than a year ago now, I got a cheap no-name RX 580 that was used for mining. It has no branding at all, and the only form of identification on the card itself is a white sticker on the back that simply reads "RX580 8G 256BIT *barcode* HH1803LA00719." From what I've heard on reddit from a guy with the exact same card, they were produced by a no-name chinese factory that was contracted to make some cheap mining 580's. The vBIOS on it has no UEFI support. Its running Micron. If I flashed a different manufacturer's Micron 580 vBIOS on it, which DID have UEFI support, would it work? From what I've heard, the big difference between different manufacturer 580's is just what they think is the right clock. Any advice or discussion on the matter is helpful. Thanks! Image attached with the identification sticker.
Edit: Also added a GPU-Z screenshot.
Update: Instead of looking for a different bios with UEFI, I decided to update the GOP of my current one. I used a program to do it, and it seemed to carry out correctly. Here is the information it gives for the updated GOP rom. Is this good to flash, or am I overlooking something critical? I don't ever do this type of stuff, so I'm not totally sure. Check image #3 for details.
Final Update: went ahead and just tried it. it worked perfectly and now my card has UEFI support.
