I've had it for 3 years now and I've only taken it out of my motherboard once cause my other motherboard fried.

Ebay tells me about £60-70

When I'm trying to figure out what something like that is worth, I do a search on eBay and select the "completed listings" checkbox on the left side. It will show you what they've been selling for recently.

This... Check your local market price as it can vary a lot.

Not sure of your point here. The number of times removed (as long as not damaged) has no affect on the price.

But yeah, I agree with the others. Do a search for the same i5-7400 in your local area to see what they are going for. Then price accordingly.

Read somewhere
Intel rate the socket for about 25 SAFE Removal/Replacement

of course this amount will vary depending on circumstances

Interesting. I wonder what they base it on? Ever since ZIF (zero insertion force) sockets have been in existence, barring any mishandling (or ESD), I don't see how removing a processor that just "sits" on the pads or pins can be damaged or wear out, regardless the number of times it is removed.

Thank you
