[Solved] Strange problem with ASUS RX 580 4GB

Hi everyone, I made this topic because I think someone can help me. Some time ago I bought some broken graphics cards.

One of them is Asus RX 580 4GB. Initially, I cleaned the card, checked the voltages, everything looks great. I took out the RX 6700 XT from my computer and put in the "supposedly" damaged RX 580.

After loading windows, the screen was still black, but after a minute, the image appeared. I did tests, card works fine, temps high but normal for RX 500 series, no artifacts, everything works.

When I uninstalled the AMD drivers (22.11.2) and turned on the computer again, the card does not display the image. I hear windows 11 has loaded (distinctive sound) but no video signal. I also can't enter the BIOS because the screen is black all the time.

Has anyone had a similar problem? I will add that the card is connected via display port. I'll test it on HDMI tomorrow.

It is possible that your card was used for mining purposes before.
So naturally it was modded.
Not only this, there is always a chance that because of mining, the card itself is damaged at a hardware level.

This is what I would do: test it with HDMI and if that doesn't work try it in a non-uefi pc. Either way, if you get a signal flash the known correct bios from dos and go from there.
