I had MCshield (little tool that scan usb) for a couple of years, yesterday I noticed that it hadn`t update signatures for a long time, I guess that program is not active anymore.

http://www.mcshield.net

Any recommendation for similar program?

Just install any free antivirus, like Avast or Kaspersky AV (Free version).
I personally prefer KAV, because it's very light, does not occupy much resources, and has no ads or annoying popups, like avast.
Been using it since the day it released - no complaints so far.

#1 Browser security; dont use IE, Edge or that other one made by the company that sells your information for profits.
#2 Most all in one AV suites cover everything, choose carefully they all have their pitfalls.
#3 stop clicking links in your email junk folder :p:rolleyes:

As I said before, just use KAV. It has basic internet security features, including SSL cert checks, cryptomining malware, bad redirects, malicious/suspicious javascript etc.
All you need, in a nice tidy package. Plus, most modern browsers already have built-in security features (nothing exciting, but at least it'll prevent you from getting infected with porn malware and adware).
