I'm having another sound problem. It seem that I cannot get my center speakers to work. I have them plugged in and the sound up but I can't hear anything from it. All the other speakers work but the center pair. Any ideas?

Have you tried connecting them to anything else to check that they are OK and the any connectors and leads are not the problem. Failing that, do your centre speakers have their own channel and is this muted perhaps?

it would help if you listed what speakers you have.

In the realtek control panel next to the speaker configuration is a blue "play" symbol that runs a signal test through each speaker. Can you hear sound through the centre speak if you do this signal test?

If yes... it could be that you are playing a stereo source (like a CD) and thats why you only hear out of the right and left speakers

If no... it could be that your centre & subwoofer channels are swapped around (there is a checkbox in the control panel to swap the centre/subwoofer outputs in realtek control panel).

I am using a 5.1 Headset and I dont hear audio out my rear, center, and subwoofer when I click on the blue test button also have it set to 5.1
Also I've tried switching the center and sub.

This. From there, we can find your motherboard manual online and see how it would have you hooking it up to eliminate that as a potential issue.

What headset are you using and have you plugged all of the cables in?
There should be 4 sets of 3.5mm minijacks to plug in for the speakers and mic.
Alternatively if you are using a USB headset you wont be setting the audio properties for it with Realtek but rather in the software provided for the USB interface of the 5.1 headphones.

The headset I am using is a Ultra U12-41404 and my motherboard can be found under the system specs under my avatar to the left. I would post it but I cannot copy it from the systems spec dialog box on my iPhone.

I googled your 5.1 headphones and they use USB for electrical power and standard 3.5mm minijacks to get the audio signal from the soundcard.

Either the headphones are faulty or your soundcard is not setup correctly/faulty.
You will need to test to isolate the cause of the problem.

At the moment you say that when using the realtek 5.1 sound test, you have stereo audio coming from the front left and right speakers (green 3.5mm jack output), try putting the other coloured 3.5mm jacks into this green soundcard output and see if the test sounds still play to determine if the other speakers inside the headset are working. Bear in mind that one of the 3.5mm jacks on the headphones are for the mic and wont play any sound and you may not hear the bass signal very well.

After you test like this youll know if the headphones are working correctly or not. If they are working fine then the soundcard is not setup correctly (or very unlikely it could be faulty on the surround outputs). If the headphones are fine and you are still getting no audio signal from all the speakers when running the 5.1 test you should download different realtek soundcard drivers available from your motherboard manufacturers website. Its always a good idea to get the latest drivers and not the ones that come supplied on the motherboard drivers disk.

Also make sure that the headphones connectors are all plugged into the back of the computer as the front panel audio output is for stereo only.
