Speaker System 5.1
Both are good choices, but if you are never going to crossfire then get the ASUS P5Q, if there is the possibility of running a crossfire set up get the P5Q-E or even better one of the X48 chipset boards. I own all three and they have truly been rock solid.
As for the 5.1 speakers I also own the one you are looking at and the Z-5500, both are very crisp and clear with gaming, TV, music, etc., but the Z-5500 is far more robust.
