NieR:Automata on the PC platform is a love-hate affair, the former due to excellent gameplay and replayability via multiple "routes" and the latter no thanks to the game in need of performance enhancements and bug fixes that were promised nearly two years ago but yet to come to fruition. Overall, the game holds an overwhelmingly positive review feedback on Steam, and won many game awards from various video game publications last year. For those who were hoping, or just waiting, for a complete GOTY edition to come out, perhaps this news is for you.

Today, Square Enix officially announced the NieR:Automata Game of the YoRHa Edition that includes the full base game as well as the 3C3C1D119440927 Expansion DLC, four pod designs (Grimoire Weiss pod, Retro Grey pod skin, Retro Red pod skin, Cardboard pod skin), the Machine Mask accessory and two digital wallpapers. This releases February 26, 2019 for $39.99 for PC and the PS4, with the XBOX One having received a "Become As Gods" earlier this year that had brought with it performance improvements. It remains to be seen if the new edition gets a similar patch, which interested users must keep track of before committing to a purchase as many players today have had to resort to a third-party patch to get things smoothly running.

Stop looking at 2B's butt and look at that typo on the title :slap:

I hope they port/remake the original Nier to PC.

Haven't even finished the initial game. 2b's butt is 10/10 thou.

The DLC name and the weird spelling is throwing me off, hard pass.

I hope that us owners of the original game and dlc will get the patch or considered to be like we purchase this game of edition.
Got the game at release so i hope for it.

Yeah, what about the original owners? I am going to be honest, while something did look weird about the graphics on my PC, I never really noticed it, game is pretty much unique and good. I think the fan patch fixed some of the blurry stuff (antialiasing was screwed, IIRC), but fixes never came in officially.
Otherwise, gameplay itself had no bugs, read, everything worked as expected.

And that's despite offering basically no support/fixes past the initial launch. And people will still buy.

sigh, this game is so much more than 2B's butt...
and if you are into butts and half naked chicks just play modded Skyrim or Fallout 4 ;-)

Well as long as you have a gtx 1060 you should be able to play this game on very high at 1080p so it's not that bad

Is this the same broken port ?

Why is everyone complaining about the port? I'm playing it right now and eveything goes smoothly. OK the framerate is locked at 60, else game mechanics break, but it runs well and it doesn't crash much. Only 1-2 times, but I'm not sure if it's the game's fault or my computer is unstable.

What are you playing on? Because people say this is a pretty botched console port (https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/digitalfoundry-2017-whats-up-with-nier-automata-on-pc). Admittely, a botched port of a good game.

I put 50 hours into it getting the important endings and it crashed once. And it was my fault. lol It ran extremely well on my Vega 56/3770K with no bugs/glitches (didn't have to use any third party apps either for it to run well). Of course performance is always anecdotal. I had read about those issues before playing but got it anyway and I'm glad I did since it's a great game and it ran flawlessly.

I'm running it on a 2700X with a watercooled 1080Ti, but I think the cpu basically idles (~15% usage, avg load ~50% on one thread) and the gpu hovers around 60-85%, even at 3440x1440 max settings I'm using. That's of cource because of 60fps lock, it would play at 80-100 if it was unlocked, but it's butter-smooth anyway. Basically frametime graph is a line, no stutters at all.

I never had problems with my 270x, and I only needed the far fix for the full screen, borderless was fine.
The game is so much more than simple fanservice.

The only game I've played where the first thing i did in the game is self- destruct. ;)
