Starcraft II officially delayed to 1st Half 2010

I remember eagerly awaiting WC3 many moons ago, and how many times that got pushed back. Really the best thing to do is get this game completely out of your mind. Don't read up on it, don't keep up with it. That'll just make it all the harder to deal with the release dates constantly being pushed back. We probably won't see this game till Fall 2010. Just find something else to keep you busy for a year and before you know it SC2 will finally be here.

I concur! Aion is going to be coming out soon, I think that game will keep my mind of SC 2 for a good few months

Then you should play WoW more. Even though they've released Wotlk without the complete content located in their say.. mission statement. The actual "released content" is enough to keep you occupied til your 80 years old and yes thats with a high level of exaggeration.

I think I have played enough of WoW by now, so long that if you want to know how Paladins are like in beta I can tell you.

The amount of content is the lease of my concern actually.

Fail of the Lich King is shipped with so many bugs and exploits that took them way too long to fix.
And don't get me to tell you how much chaos that "Hero Class" created.
Death Knights and many other class specs are so OP at launch that simply gibbed their way to Gladiator.
Guess how long they took to somewhat fix these issues?

Don't tell me to play more WoW because I played almost every class except the Rogue and Warlock.
I wouldn't bother to write a 30 page essay on a game that Activision Blizzard manage to ruin while keeping so many players.

By your definition, they would shit on 95% of their market base, for the 5% with high end machines, makes no sense to me.

Well if they are unable or unwilling to deliver SC2 and D3 on time because their money come from an outdated game then i suggest they give the rights to another company to make them or at least get extra personnel in order to finish both games if they cant stop developing WOW. Personally i don't give a dime about why they can't deliver, they have the same obligation towards the 5% as they do towards the 95% whether they like it or not and the fact is that they scrapped Ghost which all of us were waiting for and they have taken 10+ years to finish SC2 and D3 and all those as a sacrifice to WOW ? I'll be damned if i am to excuse them like many in here do.

Can you even understand that it has been since 1998 that they released SC ? And we are here 11 years later and Still they have not released a Sequel ? They tricked us all into waiting for Ghost (even though it was not a RTS) and in the end they scrapped it. We have all burried 3D Realms for Duke Nukem Forever but Blizzard gets a free pass because of WOW ???

And they didnt promise to release games ? They didnt publicly say they would release Ghost ? Did they ? Well hopefully they still care about Game Quality on SC2 and D3 because they now have over 10 million WoW cash cows to feed on monthly.

And? Do you think they all sat down the morning after the release party and started coding the sequel? I hasn't been in development for 11 years. And Ghost died, sad story blahblah, happens all the time in this bussiness. Remember Prey though? It got resurrected! Maybe Ghost will be too.

Happens all the time with companies that release 5 games per year so it is natural to scrap one or two, but to a company that has released 10 titles (4 games / 6 expansions ) in a period of 11 years no it should not happen.

Ok I take back and apologize for my hasty words about you and your experience with WoW.
But seriously, with cold hard facts, those bugs and exploits obviously weren't enough to kill off such a big fanbase such and it certainly was only enough to bother a couple of players that expect more than what was put in their plate when they bought the game, hell more players than ever started playing WoW even tho most of them are casuals. Compared with AoC and so many other MMO's I've "TRIED" to like more than WoW...imo i think their launch was near perfect and another thing is they actually FIX the issues no matter how long it takes because they actually have the resources to do so.

What kind of Chaos did the hero class create? I know they were overpowered at launch.. but uhh they're fixed now? As in shit hit the fan for DK's when 3.2 came out.. the way i see it its completely situational to how you see things being too OP; why? Because every class have their good and bad. Also if Blizzard is good at anything its at balancing out their games to keep players from QQing and quitting. Wanna beat an OP Death Knight? Roll a ret pally, wanna beat an OP ret pally? roll a rogue wanna beat an OP rogue? roll a hunter, wanna beat any of the classes? then simply invest more of your life into WoW.

Anyways back on topic I know Blizzard delayed Starcraft 2 for a good reason! They want to keep their already good reputation maintained, the slightest unbalance in SC 2 could make the game go to hell considering how many new units they've added so I will continue to wait!

Hunters are pretty much screwed at the bottom of the PVP ladder for almost the whole TBC and WotLK. Not to mention they are doing that well in Ulduar either.

Let me explain a little more on that Death Knight situation.
On launch, Glyph of Death and Decay had a "terror effect" on it, which is basically anything get hit by it will be repeatingly fear again and again.

The biggest problem in PVP is that in an arena match 1 death knight can "fear lock" a team of 5 on the spot and Zerg fest follows.
They don't even need to get the whole team lock down, as soon as your healer get lock down you might as well suicide.
Guess what? The only healer that can remain functional is the Paladin with their bubble.

This is a extremely sereve expliot and it took them a month (or more I couldn't remember) to fix. By the time Blizzard manage to admit this as a bug, many of these GIB teams are already at Challenger rating. One they are up there, it will take a lot to get them back down there they should be.

The signifcance of this problem is that Blizzard had been trying to promote Arena PVP as their eSport, and in am eSport balance is vital.
This in only one of the few examples of balance "issues" in Fail of the Lich King.

Uhm... ok but have you tried playing arena now? Most of these issues you are bringing up have been addressed already. My point is no matter how bad these issues were they are fixed regardless or are being fixed, all it requires is patience and less QQ.
