I'm sure that you all know the GeForce 7950 GX2 - NVIDIA's 2 in 1 video card solution. What many overclockers and PC enthusiasts have been waiting for has been made true by Swiftech - finally, we can space our NVIDIA GX2 cards, and mount more complex cooling solutions to allow even higher overclocks.

The picture says it all:

You can probably still do Quad-SLI with these. The PCI-E is on the bottom PCB, and if I am right, these only take up three slots. So, an SLI board with 2 extra slots in between both PCI-E X16 should be able to do these, but no room for anything else.

According to swiftech
quote: The GX2 Spacer kit is only compatible with nVidia's Geforce 7950GX2, and does preclude quad-SLI configurations.

oh...I didn't read that. Oh well. Too bad, sacrifice Quad-SLi for Water cooling.

I'm just saying, you have to sacrifice Quad-SLI for "better" cooling.

uh... yeah.

Well thats awesome. I've always said it wasnt worth it because u could only get it to 600Mhz. But if u can do 750Mhz and above, not to mention the RAM possibilities.. its a whole new reason to buy the 7950 GX2.

GX2 spacer kit

Hi you guys.

here is some more info on the GX2 kit, and what can be done with it. Check out the ORB (3D Marks 2006). I have four tests published on the first page:

11808 with completely off-the-shelf H20-Apex kit, MCW60 and the GX2 kit
11907 same cooling, but somehow the system did not recognize the drivers (same approved whql drivers as the 11808 test.. go figure), so this one is in the "All drivers" section, which sucks
12032 with H20-Apex cooling for the CPU and Chilled water on the GPU's
and finally
12168 (third place worldwide) with all chilled water

Please do not think that the above is for bragging, nor for any commercial purposes. We just wanted to have some fun with my new personnal system :)

Good O/C to all.

Gabe
