Well, we have my roommate's CM 690 apart due to his motherboard failing, and decided to paint it. He chose a black primer / satin black paint with a cherry red gloss overlay / and clearcoat. Anyway...

In the CM 690, there are these weird little silver pieces holding the panels together (such as the hard drive bay that restricts airflow, we were going to turn it 90 degrees). How do you take those damn silver things out? I've tried allen wrenches, star bits, etc, to no avail.

So, I've resorted to TPU =) to give me the answer.

Any help would be greatly appreciated...thanks.

I believe those are rivets... Drilling being the simplest way to remove them, with the caveàt that you have to either re-rivet them with a rivet gun, or replace them with screws the appropriate size.

Those are rivets. You have to drill them out and replace them w/ a larger size rivet. or, if you do not have a rived gun, nuts and bolts work well
