I use teamviewer a lot on my pc at home when I am out, and it works fine on mobile devices they connect fine but my laptop on the other hand I keep getting this:

upload_2016-10-3_8-44-9.png

I tried going to "Extra-->Options-->Avanced-->Show Advanced settings-->Access Control" change it to Confirm all and than back to Full Access doesn't work, not setting up custom settings work either which is annoying bcs this problem just started today, is there anyway to set this back to I can just connect it when it's on my teamviewer login list?

and last yes i tried to do a "Setup unattended access..." this ain't work I am using version 11.0.65452 on both computers and it worked before last week fine

I have experienced that something that worked suddenly stopped working as well. I'm now on 11.0.66695 and all is well. Give it a go.

I am gonna give that one a try problem is I am not home so I doubt I can do it remotely :(

sadly this does still not work, and I wrote to teamviewer support bcs if is a bug it's not good, when u setup "unattened access" and it still not works and I have setup two factor authentication to protect my computer even better so it's not funny.

This here drives me crazy my laptop don't have this issue running fully updated Windows 10 with Anniversary update same as my desktop but my desktop has this issue and reinstall og teamviewer doesn't seem to get this setting reset :banghead:

Reinstall TeamViewer client on remote PC, reconfigure. Sounds like it's a bug to me. Wipe out the config for your workstation. Unless for some reason UAC is blocking it (which it could...but I haven't seen that recently), you should be fine with a fresh install and reconfigure.

A better solution that I use is hosting an OpenVPN server on my PFSense router and then I'm able to RDP through the tunnel. Seems to work smoother and faster than TeamViewer...though admittedly TeamViewer is easier. I stick to version 9 tho...no real reason why...but it works well enough. I rely on TeamViewer as a fallback for sure.

UAC is set to never notify and it has never been a problem before, even went to secpol.msc "Local Security Policy" and disabled admin like I did back in 8.1 when I was running that never had any issues and I started with a ticket with the teamviewer support them bcs this here is driving me crazy.

For the moment I have no need for a OpenVPN server and I can't open up for RDP since I don't have a static ip and I can't get that over COAX in my country. (Tried but having issues with all not standard ports at the moment and my provider is looking at that).

You don't need a static IP, use dynamic DNS...I use Afraid.org. Its free and all you gotta do to keep your A-Record alive is log in once every 6 months. Many routers can update Afraid.org when the IP address changes (some require DD-WRT/OPENWRT/Tomato/AsusWRT). That way I use example.afraid.org, and whatever port I want for the service...be it Minecraft servers for my kids, my TeamSpeak 3 server, my OpenVPN tunnel, etc...I don't worry about changing IP addresses in configs...put in the dynamic DNS URL, make sure you keep it up-to-date using a small program on your PC or a script/config on your router and enjoy! :D

You don't need to open up 3389 for RDP on your firewall when using OpenVPN.

OpenVPN works by allowing you to access your LAN through an encrypted tunnel. Really, it is the better way IMHO and is a lot harder to break than TeamViewer, which still hasn't totally come clean about how that little poisoned DNS oops happened a few months ago, at least last I checked...I still use em with 2FA but many users were that had their accounts hacked.

Back to OpenVPN, you have port 1194 (default OpenVPN port) forwarding to the OpenVPN server...and if your router can host the OpenVPN server then minimal work needs done, ortherwise a simple port forward to whatever hosts OpenVPN server services should be easy enough. Not sure if your port issues will block this or not...but it is a really good way to go IMHO. Then if you point to your LAN's DNS server (for most its the router) and allow NETBIOS traffic,, you can start to even RDP to hostnames. Though without that config, RDP to the IP address will work.

Then simply allow remote sessions, though enable NLA and allow specific accounts. I do this with my home server lab over OpenVPN very often. Much faster than TeamViewer. Though it works with Teamviewer too...as you can set it to work only over LAN..though for many that extra level of security isn't necessary. Boom...connect to the tunnel when you need, hit whatever you want on your network as if you were there...with whatever speed limitations are present. One thing to keep in mind is the higher levels of encryption can really consume CPU cycles...but AES256 and RSA2048 should get the job done quite nicely here.

Interesting issue you have with TV11 for sure..even more-so that a clean install doesn't fix it. I honestly leave UAC set at defaults anymore. It's useful for security reasons for many users that don't know any better I suppose...and I'm not bothered by it seeing it so often on client PC's. I'm curious to see what their support has to say...have you tried going from your laptop to your main rig and accepting the request? I forget if there's an always allow option or checkbox...and maybe you've already tried. But might be worth a shot if not!

I want to use Teamviewer been using it for yrs so shouldn't be a problem, and I don't wanna want to use a vpn to connect to home plus my iphone can connect just not my Windows 10 laptop so the access without this prompt is possible.
