Tech Power Up Hardware Purchase Advice

It is a newer unit because I can see the 24 pin (psu) to 20 pin (mobo) adapter.

I'm confused, why use a converter? as it looks like the original will split.

Greenslade, ask the seller if he can provide you a picture of the power supply label. It is a newer unit because I can see the 24 pin to 20 pin adapter. You want to see the make, model, watts, and ratings for +5 volts.
I have just sent the message to the seller ,there a business seller unlike the seller i got the PC i have to send back.Plus they are only selling PC parts. :)
I thought you would have to have an AGP slot to install 98se?I thought core 2quad was to new for 98 se?He says
NOTE: It is not recommended to use Compact Flash Cards as a long term operating system solution. Does anyone agree with him?

I have just seen this
Retro Windows XP PC,Athlon XP 2400,2GB Ram,Floppy,80GB HDD,New Coolermaster Case £70 make an offer.
I have asked the seller if it defnetly works, after the one i have to send back did not work when the seller said it did.
This desktop has been built into a new / old stock Coolermaster case to make a very nice Windows XP SP3 PC. The operating system has a totally clean driver list and works perfectly. The PC has an Athon XP 2400 CPU, Soundcard, 2GB Ram, working and tested floppy and a 80GB HDD.”It looks very clean inside there wherether it woks is another thing. If i go the. This looks like it is new. What do you think of Cooler Master.

That looks solid! Reasonable price too.

Disagree. Been doing it on client PCs for years with no issues. Everyone has got a different school of thought though.

:)That looks solid! How much are they asking?

What do you disagree with Lex?o_O

What I mean is CompactFlash is very reliable. As discussed earlier, as long as you buy a brand name card, you will have no problems.
I get your point there Lex :) The Pc i had to send back is on its way back to the seller.:)
I put an offer on the PC for £52 pounds the seller rejected that, i put a new offer for £56 that was Accepted plus £10 for shipping I just hope and pry it works this time.:)
