TechPowerUp and Fractal Design Lumen AIO Giveaway

That's because the EU has very strict laws concerning sweepstakes and giveaways. Makes running them dubious at best.
Although I disagree with that particular statement in general, it does make me wonder if companies actually suffer more from the negative backlash from TPU community? Is it worth it at the end?

They basically annoy 1/2 of the TPU population (me incl.) hoping to boost their image? That's like pissing against the wind with extra steps.

@W1zzard - can you please apply a Geo-IP filter in your scripts for such gimped giveaways, so that guys like me don't feel purposefully excluded, i.e. limit the visibility of gimped giveaways only to guys whose IP addresses match the country of eligibility?

I was once excluded from a school candy giveaway (I was too fat and they didn't want me to get even fatter) and from that moment something snapped in me. I'm now the living human reincarnation of a sociopathic Chupacabra just because of something trivial.

The Dutch and the Germans have a worldwide reputation for precision. Tardian is 25% German, if you count Schleswig Holstein as German (it was Danish when my folks left). However, the 40% Scottish portion of my makeup would suggest both nations have room for improvement. The Jewish portion (who left Amsterdam, originally Portugal) explains why I take such a clever Dick approach to posting. The Birmingham portion thinks Peaky Blinders were overly kind and the silly Bs that stayed behind. Australia's average IQ decreases with each new arrival and the home country has a corresponding decrease. However, Robert the Bruce (a distant lineal relative) would wonder why I bother wasting my time with you guys. My mother's side is worse and we liked Roses and Stewart is not spelt Stuart. I'm off to the movies with my twins.

Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings

Entered will give it to a US TPUer

He's German?, I thought he was made of magic.
Isn't that the same?

No, it isn't. My ancestors from Lißberg Hessen and from Wöhrden thought you lot were so good they moved suburbs to Australia, not Austria. The Von Senden men (was Denmark) fought against you in WWI. My other ancestors were interned during WWI.

With the withdrawal from the Turkish peninsula, Monash and most of the Australian forces were sent to the western front in France. They thought after Gallipoli the fields of France would be a picnic. They were wrong. The reality of industrialised warfare became apparent; mile upon mile of trenches, barbed wire, mud and extraordinarily heavy artillery. Through many trials and errors, the Australian Divisions were starting to become the hardened, intelligent fighting force which would prove so effective by 1918, when Monash and the AIF (Australian Imperial Forces) played a crucial role in defeating Germany on the western front.

After the war, when Monash and the AIF returned home to relative neglect, Monash strived to ensure soldiers received due honour, recognition and assistance. As part of his campaign he played a pivotal role in creating Anzac Day commemorations. Without Monash, this annual commemoration would most likely have faded into obscurity.

My maternal grandfather was in the relief for Galipoli and was sent to France via Marseilles. On the first day, he lost all his friends. He survived despite being a runner.

I like to keep my jokes under 8 words or less.

When I have six stars or more or none, I'll be really concise. WWI ain't no joke!
