TechPowerUp GPU-Z v2.38.0 Released

Look at his screenshot again mate, its a 2070 super, there are no 3070 supers
my point was it's not the latest GPU from nVidia which are the ones with RBar enabled so unless nvidia are going retro fit it via bios updates for their 20xx series GPU's you may just find yourself SOL

I dont really care whether it works or not, I was just curious as to why 2 similar cards from the same manufacturer would have it behaving differently

I'd check your mobo's BIOS's then and see if it has rbar enabled if you don't see the setting then check for a BIOS update from your mobo's manufacturer that has atleast AGESA 1.2.0.0

AGESA is 1.2.0.0, ReBar is on, and Above 4G Decoding is also on

Probably your board but I did notice your drivers are different. I am running 461.81 as well and it shows "Not Supported". Maybe if you back down to WHQL it will function.

Could be that I guess

When ReBAR is not enabled, it will show "Not supported". Only if the GPU is Navi2x or Ampere it will show "Disabled"

ReBAR detection is working as intended for me. Strange times where new features and major bug fixes (such as the USB intermittent disconnect problem that will require new AGESA) are all being done at the BIOS level, combined with the all-time low supply and the super fast pace things are being released, it makes you think if these things don't need a little more time in development before they're out of the door.

Appreciate it, w1zz and crew :)

@Dr. Dro seems you have a BIOS update awaiting you

Version 1804
2021/02/08 20.34 MBytes
ROG STRIX B550-E GAMING BIOS 1804
"1. Update AMD AM4 AGESA V2 PI 1.2.0.0
2. Update AMD RAID UEFI driver
3. Improve system stability
Before running the USB BIOS Flashback tool, please rename the BIOS file (SB550EG.CAP) using BIOSRenamer."

it should allow you to turn on Resizable Bar

I guess turning it on would be disastruous since NVIDIA hasn't released the VBIOS update for my card yet, but this thread is tempting me.

Appreciate it, but that's the version I have installed :)

ReBAR is enabled in the BIOS, but my 3090 (ASUS TUF-OC) hasn't received the video BIOS update needed yet. I believe the updates will be released in the coming months for most AIB models.

I'm really looking forward to the AGESA 1.2.0.2 BIOS to release though, I really could use the USB dropout fixes, they're insane on my setup if PCIe 4.0 is enabled at all.

Don't worry, nothing is going to blow up :D

The motherboard support and driver support being present and enabled is fine, it just won't work until our GPUs receive the needed video BIOS update. Until then, all it will say is "Disabled" or "No" in the NV control panel.

I'll hold off until my card receives its VBIOS update then, even though I'm very wary of doing VBIOS flashes... regular BIOS flashes are scary but VBIOS ones are on another level especially during this time

i've been trying to enable that on my RTX 2070 non super and 5900X with X570 Hero
can you tell me how did you manage to enable that, please ?

Unfortunately not supported. :ohwell:

Curious if my laptop would even support enabling it. Shows 'Disabled'. Likely in BIOS?

I am running a very stripped down version of 466.11 with just about everything removed. Nvidia Control Panel does not show RBar as an option currently.

@rethcirE no harm in checking in the BIOS if it's not there then maybe check the manufacturers website for a BIOS update

Click on "Disabled" and it will show more details, or Advanced Panel -> BAR

Thank you.

I did enable the BIOS option but it does appear to be vBIOS or driver limited at this time as far as I can tell. Maybe I should try the latest driver instead of 466.11.
