I have noted the following issues with beta 6 & 7 vs version .24 of the ati tool.I have run all test 3 times with the same results.Version .24 reports gpu temps exactly the same as catalyist control center. To the best of my knowledge version .24 is listed as the most current stable version.Beta 6 & 7 both report gpu temps some 20 degrees lower. These gpu temps are the same with only gpu temp & gpu & enviroment option enabled.I uninstalled & reinstalled every version 3 times with the same results.I also manually removed all related folders & files to every version & repeated the test.Still I get the same results.I have also noted that the fan control speeds do not reset or release between preset default fan speeds & over riding fan speeds. When I over ride fan speeds to any given percent I cannot get back to default speeds without setting to over ride speeds to the default number from which I changed in the first place. The over ride speed remains untill I manually reset to the default speed.I have also noted that the over ride speed becomes the default speed when installing another beta version. When I first installed version .24 fan speed was default at 73%.I over rode this speed to 85% in a effort to get a slightly lower gpu temp.I attempted to reset to the default speed of 73% & can only get to this temp by using the over ride option & setting to 73%.I then over ride to 85% again & uninstall a version (any version) & select "do not save settings or logs" during the uninstall process.I reboot & install another version (any version) and the last over ride speed (85% in this case) becomes the default speed without setting for over ride option. Thus it appears that the reset option does not function. And changed speeds carry over from 1 version to the next. This fan issue is really not critical as one can set speeds manually to whatever they wish. The temp issue could be a big issue for someone who is manually overclocking as a 20 degree difference in temp could be the difference between burning a card up & not burning a card up.All these test were on a genuine ATI 9800XT 256mb card with the R360 chip.
