So I run. 3440x1440 144hz and have had no issues since buying certified cable from the display port.org site. Just because it is $45 does not mean it is certified. Forgive me if you mentioned certified cables already. I would also be suspect of CF/SLI doing anything right these days. Let alone with a fussy DP connection.
