well i got an asus wl-520gu router to use it's wireless capabilities but the problem starts here this router gives ip so i cannot use my modem ip to port froward so i can share on utorrent (and the linuxmce is quite big)

the question is can i make the router give 1 direct ip to the modem?if yes i will have to make it give me one ip so i can connect to modem and from there to net? or i will have to use my router ip??

now the router give me its own ip and from there it connect with his ip to the modem

ie. any good linux for media center???

you have that backwards, and uhh
if its DSL use the router as a PPPOE client and the modem as a bridge :)

why turn off the dhcp server?
