Enhanced Edition apparently includes everything else. The side missions and the music are all on the disk. If the side missions aren't already installed there is probably a way to install it via the autoplay menu.

I think the EE patch is actually to install the EE content for the gold version (The Witcher, non-EE) of the game.

Ah, I never installed that so I don't know. Is it the installer asking for credentials or the website to download the update? If it is the latter, you can get it from 3rd party sites like Gamer's Hell. You'll also need the English language pack also available from Gamer's Hell.

gave it a playthrough myself, and now on my laptop i'm installing it fresh, gonna run through it again, all in all a great game i had a lot of fun
