I have a TT Big Typhoon in another machine... and when I get my i7 upgrade, I'm gonna be stuck using a less proficient cooler (ultra chilltec) with it. The Big Typhoon would do a better job. I remember digging around on the net before and I think I did find a socket 1366 clip for the Big Typhoon, but all I can find now is a mounting bracket for one of their WC kits? I'd really like to have this clip so I can use the Big Typhoon with my i7, anyone know where I can nab one?

TT's BT is a true work horse and does the cooling really well.

If you can't find a clip, you might have to fabricate one. Did you contact TT to ask about it?

About four years back, I had taken a clip from another cooler, added a 4mm spacer that fit between and that cooler could be used on an AMD socket.

Hope your search or someone turns in the right info for you.

Yeah, I sent a PM to our resident TT rep. No response yet.

Just had an unsuccessful foray into messing with my BT. I saw I might be able to get the 1366 clips for the V1 somewhere, but they screw on to the cooler. I noticed a second set of screw holes on my BT, but not only are they blocked by the irremovable mounting plate that's used for the BT's own design, but they aren't threaded either.

This is the type of clip I'm looking for here:

But where can I buy the goddamn thing is the one thing I don't know.

Ah, finally found and orderd one... managed to dig one up on TT's site somewhere.
