Thinking of building a water cooling unit

as the title says im thinking i wouldnt mind building a water cooling unit for my cpu...only problem i have no idea how to go about it...as in what i would need and and how to put together...i know that i would need a pump and rad and tubing but i dont what kind for any of it. Could anyone help me out or post some links that i could usepictures would be a big help....i dont have alot of money....at the most i have 100bucks maybe a little more...anyways thanks and any help would be great

Bone face, thats a low budget but very possibly, there are clamps, fittings. Fittings will tell you what size 1/2 3/8 ect. Pump usaully come with them same with rads and cpu blocks. Its actually really easy if you think about it.

ok well instead of building something i decided to maybe puchase a new cooler...i was looking at the aquagate mini r80 for 85bucks, but im not sure...can anyone suggest something for under 100bucks weather its water or air thanks

I would get the aquagate, thats the number one cooler I have reccomended to anyone. Its a good hard process, but it works well. Its about a good well price, Id get a better fan to go on that 80mm rad. GEET IT!!

i have that unit on my cpu.it is a little loud when the fan is at full speed.so i just keep it at minimum speed and my cpu idles at 21-22*C at room temp

well after meeting and seeing a freind that had his pentuim oced to 4 gigs and his zalman 9500 keeping it cool at 37c idle and 45c full i think ive changed my mind and am going for the 9500...lol

youre trying to tell me that you can maintain ambient or near ambient with an aquagate mini.

why dont you try using a thermal probe to measure youre temps instead of the onboard sensors - which are always innacurate -

i was just trying to point out the fact that onboard sensors are largely innacurate and should not be taken seriously.

if you are serious about monitoring your temps you should invest in a third party temp monitoring device such as a hardcano or compunurse or similar - something which has its own thermal probes.

i have a coolermaster 4 hd cooler with 4 fan controllers and four temp probe sensors.but took it out a while ago cause it made to much wire mess.but i will hook it up again, cause now i am curious to see if it is the right cpu temp.where and how do i put the probe on the cpu to get the best result?

well instead of water i opted for a Zalman 9500 and im seeing a 5 degree temp drop so far and the only problem i have with it that i had to mount it with the fan either facing up or down cause of my board..but other then that i like it

mine has the fan on top blowing down.. it helps cool the grfx card.. its not a problem..

lol i was just reading the instructions cause i was bored and noticed from the pic the fastener goes through it the other way so i fixed it and now its going from side to side....but i am going to see how switching it back to side to side affects the temps of my card and if it makes it warm up with out the up and down i might put it back
