Well that 180 Opteron cannot touch a Brisbane mines running at 2.8 ghz at 1.44v my ram at DDR 1180 for everday use and will run at 3.040mghz if I want, however, there is no need to run it like that now, and I've owned a Opty 165, 170, 175,185, and a FX60. They were all more expensive than this chip buy at least 180.00 and this chip overclocks higher than all but my Old
Opteron 170 at 3.179mghz and my Opteron 185 3.150mghz, but because of the DDR2 it beats them all. It hits 1600 in scentific marks 2.0 at 2.8 ghz with ny ram at DDR 1180 and at 3.040 with my Ram at DDR 1066 it hit 1720 Scentific marks 2.0 beating the Opteron 180 buy about 80 points. That Opteron 180 is not a good deal at all for the price. If you have 939 get a Opty 170 with 610 stepping and it will beat all 939 chip. If I was you, however, I would sell my current 939 board like I did getting my new AM2 system and pocket 80.00.

Man, that $60 Brisbane sure is tempting. Just don't have any money for a new rig.
