What if I had two sets of memory, and I had to choose one to use. Which is faster? The sets are
2x1GB PC2 4300 4-4-4-12 (DDR2 533)
or
2x1GB PC2 5300 5-5-5-15 (DDR2 667)

Run Super Pi with each set and then decide. It all depends on your rigs setup.

depends whose ram it is the 667 may be able to do 800@4-4-4-12 and so could the 533

Well I guess I'll have to wait to find out.
When I get my AC Freezer 64 Pro, I'm going to try for 3GHz. If I do hit 3GHz stable, I will try out each setting on my memory and then decide.

This is really the same memory set we're talking about, just what settings to run it at.

Namslas I think it was took my part number and found out it's some kind of Samsung memory. Can's comaplin though, it's just "Crucial 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 533 (PC2 4200)", non-Lanfest/Ballistix/Tracer
