hello.

i bought a 3960X from amazon spain. total price with shipping to US is $1200 - 5% amazon CC cashback. so about $1140. https://www.amazon.es/gp/product/B0815JGCXP/

i thought long and hard on which board to get. settled on the MSI due to a more or less reasonable price and the extras (PCI M.2 riser, 10G LAN card). it also has a 12+3 phase VRM and 2x 8pin EPS connectors. i was able to run a i9-7960X OC that sucked 400+ watts on a smaller VRM. this should be plenty. i will be selling the 10G card since I already have an intel X550-T2 NIC that i've been using.

i also needed the PCI E slots, which is the main reason i'm going with HEDT over 3950X. other boards like the taichi have 3 slots rather than 4 on this board.

what are your thoughts? which would you pick?
