Hi everyone,

I just bought my son a used hp omen 17 2019 with a i7 9750h rtx 2070.

He was playing dayz with decent frames (I think? 100+fps) but when he installed warzone he's only getting 45fps 1080p on the lowest possible settings and 29fps on extreme. I assume something isnt right.. I tried everything from new drivers to disabling hp omen hub and geforce experience incase there was a profile causing issues. I watches a video and undervolted to by - 122 cache as well, the video also said to reduce clock speed to 3.4 but when I did all that warzone was unplayable so I reinstalled windows and reset the bios to undo it all.

The cpu boost temps are 95 and 86c full load, is this too high? If so can you help with a throttlestop profile

I'm new to all this but I did get a Good cooling pad to stop high temps.

Thanks

2019 was 4 years ago. Open up your new laptop and blow out the dust. If this does not solve the heat problem then I would replace the thermal paste.

Post some ThrottleStop screenshots so I can see your settings.

It's actually clean inside, I assume the previous owner cleaned it.

I will post some screenshots soon

Thanks

You need a lot of air flow into the bottom!
